Hirsi Ali : "How a cleaning woman became the Somalian Joan of Arc" - From con job to neo con think tank
Came back to NL in 2002 after 'fleeing' to U.S. due to exaggerated death threats despite having offers to remain abroad
MIM: Self proclaimed 'consummate liar' Hirsi Ali has landed a job at the American Enterprise Institute neo con think tank. What she may not have put on her resume is that the film which brought her fame, was not her idea, and her intellectual pretensions, like her facade will not hold up to scrutiny. The Dutch article translated below offers convincing evidence that Ali was a minor player in the making of Submission, and did not come up with the idea as she claims. It should be noted that one person who was cited in the piece below as having been the behind the idea for Submission 1 ( a claim which was posted on Jihadi websites) has denied this and told a journalist that the story was a hoax... perpetrated by Theo van Gogh's former webmaster Karel Gabler...who maintained his website De Gezonde Roker.
The script for which Theo Van Gogh paid Ali more then $20,000 dollars was unworkable, and had to be redone by him. During the filming, Ali became so overbearing that Van Gogh is reported to have told her 'there can only be one captain on this ship'.
It was Van Gogh's death by ritual murder and the note stuck in his chest which threatened her and other politicians which brought Ali to public attention. She is constantly given full credit for the 11 minute film, which ironically, has never been seen by people except for it's initial broadcast in Holland and some intermittant internet exposure . It was Van Gogh's murder and not the film which made Ali a 'celebrity'. She continues to take full credit for the film- rarely, if ever, mentioning Theo van Gogh, and has done notthing to press for its release. (It was embargoed by the producer for 'security reasons'). Instead Ali titilates the media and taunts Muslims with talk of a pretentious sequel which will deal with gay Muslim men.
When asked in an interview with Morley Shaefer if Ali "thought van Gogh would become a target"she replied.
"Before we talked about making the film I said, 'Do you realize the danger?' " says Hirsi Ali. "But he was adamant about making it. He was adamant about putting his name on the title."
Ali's image is all illusion and hype - including her role in the film she has taken credit for making.
She has never presented anything of substance either socially, artistically or politically, unless one considers denigrating Islam, deriding Muslims, and drawing attention to clitorectomies (including her own), to fall under the category of 'redeeming social value.
The 'Ali line' about the film Submission was repeated in an interview with Morley Shafer:
But as with so many other 'minor technical details' about Ali's life and work a question is raised:
" Was there from the very beginning a plan to make 'Submission' or was it the spontaneous brain wave of a Somalian with a masters degree, who among other things, is fighting to preserve Muslim woman's genitalia in their entirety?"
How a cleaning woman became the Somalian Joan of Arc
Translated by Beila Rabinowitz director MIM
A year ago, during a broadcast of the program 'Summer guests' Ayaan Hirsi Ali , the Somalian Jeanne d' Arc in the struggle to for emancipating Muslim women , presented the short film 'Submission' to the Dutch public. Prior to that she had made the film together with the flamboyant director Theo van Gogh, according to the credits she was responsible for the scenario. Even the original idea had emerged from her brain. http://www.ifilm.com/ifilmdetail/2655656 (film clip)
But is that really so? What is completely certain is that Van Gogh had to do a great deal of adjusting to the scenario until one could talk of a workable whole. In addition there appeared to have been other creative minds in the proximity of Ayaan who had also been occupied with the film. Minds with interesting contacts.
One day sometime in 2004 Theo van Gogh and his closest friend and webmaster of his site "The Healthy Smoker" got an invitation from someone to come by for a chat. They liked that, because the senior lecturer in Encyclopedia of Jurisprudence was a well known columnist who made mince meat out of the injustices within Islam and the tolerance shown for it from the side of the left in Holland.
Above all, since 2003 theyhad a combatative colleague in this field: The head lecturer of their Leiden faculty group associate Afshin Ellian. An Iranian academic who fled the Khomeini regime in 1983 and settled in the Russian ruled Kabul . A move which would have even confounded Inspector Clouseau. In the six years following Elian studied medicine in the capitol until 1989 the year in which the Russians were driven out by the combined forces of the CIA and Osama Elian received an invitation to come to Holland. From who and where is onclear, but is extremely intriquing in this connection.
Curious,Van Gogh and Gabler soon went to a meeting with at this person's house. The proposed chat was about a film project: Submission I.After a time to have deliberated over the idea a car stopped in front of the door. The occupants consisted of the femme terrible and other hangers on of the V V D party. And the talk about Submission in one person's house gained a wider following..
The question remains of who was the author intellectualis from what was later to be seen here and there as a provocative short film. Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Elian, or someone else? Someone who had known for a long time how to manipulate public opinion? Not an academic question seeing what the consequences of it would be. Not only concerning the further controversy between the Islamic population and the native Dutch, and the death of Theo van Gogh. Did there from the first moment exist a plan that was the spontaneous brainwave of a Somalian with a Masters degree, who among other things was fighting perserve the female genitalia in it's entirety ? Or did the plan emerge after the brainwave and from which case did it come?
Right wing rabble rousers:
One celebrated columnist, a pillar of the V.V. D. philosopher, head lecturer, and fanatic activist for animal rights and also a driving force behind 'Civis Mundi'. A political cultural magazine which exists for 44 years over which a friend of his holds sway .S.W. Couwenberg. A former head lecturer on public rights at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam and presently a follower of 'new politics'. Whatever that is supposed to be.
In an early time Civis Mundi was closely allied with the East West Institute, a study center on the Van Stolkwg 10 in The Hague. A den full of communist 'eaters' and where for example the Service Center 1945 was located. C.C.Van de Heuvel, the former resistance man and BVD topper (intelligence service) played a prominent role in both benevolent institutions. A man who did not shrink from subversive actons, and for example, maintained active contacts with the inner circle of the Belgian Center for Politics of the Independents and Christian cadres(CEPIC). A collection of ultra right wing rabble rousers from the 70's and 80's made sure that a coup d'etat was consigned to the realm of the possible by our southern neighbors.
As intermediary he was by eventually put into service as the CIA 'rogue agent' Carl Armfelt. A friend of Van de Heuvel from the Zeeland Eede, who by the performance of the necessary snooping work and the development of the notorious World Anti Communist League (WACL) also delivered weapons to all kinds of revolutionary splinter grous in Europe and the Middle East, and also had no qualms about bringing counterfeit currency into circulation. A friend to love.. (1)
Couwenberg and Van den Heuvel worked together during the Cold War years in an equally comradely fashion with the International Information bureau Interdoc, which had been founded upon the instigation of the CIA. Also located on the Van Stolkweg 10. The bureau had the task of putting together a databank of the data of KGB activities, actions from leftwing groups, suspect left wing people etcetera etcetera . Which was passed along by the connected Western intelligence agencies. Let us be clear, these nuggets were not just for anybody. If the Interdoc aligned press bureaus, papers, and magazines, and other media needed information on this subject they would have it passed along to thme. In many cases even if they hadn't asked for it.
One of Interdoc's clients was the Portugese Aginter Press which was under the direction of the fine gentlemen Yves Guillou and Stefano della Chiaie. The former had been active in the dead and destruction sowing OAS (Organisation of the Secret Army) before he fled Algeria for Portugal which opposed De Gaulle's decision to scrap Algeria as a French colony and on those grounds even made attempts to to help the former French head of state "round the corner' before his time.
Della Chiaie, alias 'the black bomber' also wanted to get involved. So in 1962 in Italy he was the founder of the Avanguardia Nationale, the para military arm of the extreem right political party the Italian Social Movement. In that capacity he was connnect to a few bombings in Bologna and Milan, two coup attempts and an attack on a refugee Chilean politician and his wife in Rome. And no to mention his active contacts with Klaus Barbie, the Butcher of Lyon, who was living for numerous reasons, South America.
No one would have imploded from surprise when an investigation into the Portugese Anjer Revolution in 1974, Aginter Press turned out not to be a press institute but a training institute for right wing terrorists and a visiting bureau for mercenaries. Nice clientele. Such an honor to have them in your card holder in the Van Stolkweg.
Be that as it may, we can conclude with a quiet heart that Van den Heuvel and Couwenberg were busy for quite a number of years with the handy manipulation of the press. In cooperation with the CIA and other merry clubs of that genre. After the collapse of the East blok the necessity to blame the political left for everything had diminished considerably. But since the the performance of Osama's Flying Circus on September 11th which was minimally anticipated by Washington, a new enemy of the free West has appeared c.q.was created. Islamic fundamentalism.
After the murder of Pim Fortuyn on May 6th 2002 Holladn became radicalised in a fast tempo, although the perpetrator, the animal rights fanatic Volkert van de Graaf, was no Koran consumer, the national feeling quickly turned towards the Islamic population. Supported by members such as Couwenberg, whose good friend Civis Mundi colleague and the neo cons in the V.V.D.in The Hague, they had in 2002 availed themself of the volatile anti Islamic spokesperson:Ayaan Hirsi Ali.
The Black Madonna
Ayaan arrived in Holland in 1992 out of good Somalian stock. She had fled because an uncle had arranged a marriage for her with cousin in Canada. Through a sucession of jobs like cleaning woman, post sorter, and volunteer in the Asylum Seekers Center in Lunteren, she also became a translator at the Immigration and Naturalisation service (IND) and the Department of Justice. She finished her studie in political science at the University in Leiden and was an assistant at the Wiardi Beckman Foundation, the scientific wing of the Labor party. There she participated in research into the emancipation and intergration of Islamic women in Holland. Just up Ayaan's alley.
Then came September 12,2002 .In a broadcast 'Around Ten' Ali got into an argument with the Imam from the prison in Breda. Because of her derogatory comments about Islam the discussion became so heated that the Imam, steaming like a Turkish sauna, dissapeared from the screen and left. Directly after the Black Madonna received the prequisite death threats and those formed the reason to consult with the AIVD (General Intelligence and Security Services), the police and the Wiardi Beckman Foundation. They came to the conclusion that Ayaan could better go into hiding for a time. Now, one can do that with some good will and effort in a garden house in Surhuisterveen or Uddel but it had to be an address in the United States. Without a doubt after back channel talks with functionaries of the American embassy in The Hague and Washington. Considering the reason behind it and the 'war on terror' which had been proclaimed in the meantime, that should have not been a problem. Quite to the contrary, as far as propaganda was concerned this meant an open target that was 8 meters wide.
Into the arms of Zalm
According to different sources in the United States Ayaan was accomodated by friends of Leon de Winter, the famous writer, Elsevier columnist and adjunct fellow at the Hudson Institute in Santa Barbara which was connected since it's inception with the CIA and Pentagon. Who the friends of Leon de Winter were and where they lived was never revealed, because before you know it you would have a flying sidekick of Osama Bin Laden at the door.Despite offers from the other side of the pond to become an opinion maker (!) and to receive /or get a doctorate from the university of her choice, she went back to Holland when the coast was a little clear in Scheveningen and surroundings.
In case of any eventuality she was surrounded daily by bodyguards.Upon her return Hirsi Ali immediately spit out the stale appetizer of the Wiardi Beckman Foundation and ran into the arms of Gerrit Zalm and Jozias van Aartsen, the party bigwigs of the V.V.D. Not completely surprising, because for a long time before her trip to the U.S, she had been in serious discussions with Neelie Kroes, the queen of the commissariat and valued assistent at the Erasmus University. And she surely would have advised her to go over to the liberal governing party because of the increased possibility of beating the drum.
In the middle of 2002 Hirsi Ali made her entrance in the Parliment as the fraction secretary of the V.V.D. but after the election in 2003 she landed in the velvet thanks to 30,000 preference votes. And then the one -issue she bear was loose. It semed like there was just one problem in Holland. The Islamic threat. There was not one Imam who wasn't tainted .Youth were being recruited for Jihad en masse. All the Islamic women were in danger of losing their clitoris. There was a defensive line drawn up around the traffic tunnel to Schiphol ( The airport) .All the towers above 100 meters received anti aircraft guns.Leiden was in trouble.
We only had one decently organised terror group, which was spawned by the AIVD. They had namely taken a few overly excited little Muslms and got them an appartment in The Hague and that looked good. According to observers they radicalised so well that they expanded their own circle of friends to the point where they got their own name. The Hofstadgroep.
Then came Novermber 2 2004 . Around two months after the first showing of 'Submission l ' Theo van Gogh was killed like an animal on the bicycle path of the Linneausstraat .By Mohammed Bouyeri, a member of the Hofstadgroep. Whom the AIVD had failed to notice, if you wish to believe that. Bouyeri has pricked a few epistles full of swollen prose into Van Gogh's body. One of them was addressed to the possible but not probable scenario writer of 'Submission'. Once again enough reason to evacuate her the same day. With an Orion from the Dutch Navy she dissappeared from sight for a few months. On the way to the American naval station in Brunswick, just as De Winter's Elseviers Magazine precisely knew to report. At the beginning of January Hirsi Ali came back to Dutch ground and was carefully hidden in the Naval complex in Amsterdam, which was at the same time the headquarters of the Naval Intelligence services. Safe but at some point unlivable. Just as she always has and knows how to do she sought with the necessary noise after a time publicity in order to force them to move her.
In the meantime she came back to Holland and made her entry into the House to heartfelf applause as if she was the queen returning after five years of war. And in the presence of an incubator of press photographers.
Because with Ayaan it is always something. Whether it is doubling the salaries of policmen, or demonstrating pepper spray in a restaurant in or if she want to launch an parliamentary inquiry into the death of Theo van Gogh.sucess guaranteed. If the inquiry every does get completed that is is also possible that the valid question of why Ayaan never paid back the 18,000 euros that Theo paid her out of his own pocket .
Mohammed Bouyeri was sentenced to life in the meanwhile.During the time of the trial the parade horse of the V V D and in the meantime worldwide known writer of anti fundamentist books was for the umpteenth time not among us. And as always surrounded by members of the security and intelligence services. The question is no longer if they are using Ayaan to play on public opinion. The question is in how far? And if that was also the case by the creation of the film Submission I?
Leiden was in last.
Want Ayaan is nu eenmaal altijd prijs.
