Sonderkommando James Wolfensohn pushes plan to facilitate terrorist access into Israel

October 9, 2005

MIM:In 2001 then World Bank chairman Wolfensohn sat down with members of the PA in Davos and enthused over the Arab plans for what they themselves called " the final solution' to the Jewish problem in Israel. Four years later Wolfensohn was ample to implement their plans as the new White House appointed envoy to the Middle East. The destruction of Jewish life in Gaza and rampaging and pillaging by World Bank financed Arab mobs was not enough for James Wolfensohn. He encouraged his left wing Jewish cronies to buy the Gaza greenhouses from Jews to give as a further incentive to terrorists, but the Frankenstein monster which Wolfensohn created destroyed the very mechanism needed to sustain it's viablity.

Wolfensohn's affinity for terrorists and radical Islamist is not new. Barely two weeks after 9/11 he met with the Muslim Council of Britain's finance and economics chairman Iqbal Asaria, a known Al Qaeda operative. Asaria was appointed as part of a poverty eradication group funded by Wolfensohn's World Bank.

The largesse of Wolfensohn's World Bank has helped further the cause of the White Al Qaeda in Bosnia, by rebuilding mosques and implementing programs which will help to realize the original goal of an Islamist state in the Balkans.

New Middle East Strongman: James WolfensohnSunday, October 9, 2005

A new proposal suggests re-opening the Rafiah border without direct Israeli surveillance. Israel also is being pressured to allow a road link with Gaza. The man behind the moves is James Wolfensohn.

Prime Minister Ariel Sharon will pore over a new proposed deal on Sunday which would allow Arabs in Gaza to move freely back and forth from Egypt. Israel withdrew from Gaza on the condition that the crossing would be closed to prevent arms smuggling and that Israel would improve security and open a crossing at Kerem Shalom in the western Negev.

The new deal would allow Europeans to supervise the Rafiah crossing for travelers with Palestinian Authority (PA) identity cards. Israel has demanded being given computer access to monitors, but would relinquish direct surveillance

Former World Bank official James Wolfensohn, who is the envoy for the Quartet, engineered the proposal. The Quartet is made up of the United Nations, Russia, the European Union and the United States.

Wolfensohn also was behind last week's deal in which Israel allowed 20 trucks of food to move into Gaza at the Sufa crossing, which has been closed since the day after the IDF withdrawal.

He is trying to convince Israel to give up its insistence on a non-stop railroad as the land link between Gaza and Judea and Samaria. Instead, he is pushing for PA demands for a road link.

It also was Wolfensohn, a wealthy Australian-born Jew, who convinced Jews to donate $14 million to buy 3,000 Gush Katif greenhouses for the Palestinian Authority (PA). A week later, the New York Daily News reported that Arabs "descended like locusts on the greenhouses...looters continue to pillage what should be a prize asset for a fledgling Palestinian state."

The 71-year-old Wolfensohn is considered a charming and eccentric ego-maniac. He also is one of the world's richest men and enjoys his affluence. "He enjoys the trappings of great wealth, like a private jet and a lavish vacation home in Jackson Hole, Wyoming," the New York Times wrote of him.

He was a senior member in several stock brokerage companies in the 1960s and 70s and formed his own firm in 1981.

A Washington Post column referred to him as a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, who "is the intolerable monster seen on Wall Street and in Washington."

Wolfensohn became a close friend of former American President Bill Clinton and was appointed president of the World Bank in 1995, a post he held until last June. "Confronted by the bank's increasingly vociferous critics among nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), Wolfensohn listened, nodded, affected contrition [and] pledged repentance. Confronted by the bank's senior staff, he morphed into [Mr.]Hyde -- bullying, swearing, slamming doors, threatening resignation," the Post wrote.

The left wing Nation magazine published an article in 1997 that he continued lavish remodeling of the Bank's opulent offices even while raking in millions of dollars in interest charges from the world's poorest countries

His intervention in the Middle East has gone beyond funding the Palestinian Authority. As president of the World Bank, Wolfensohn refused requests by American President George W. Bush for the Bank's financial help to reconstruct Iraq under American occupation.

MIM: The aptly named Jihad Al Khazen reported on a meeting Wolfensohn had in Davos with Arabs who presented him with a "final solution for Palestine and Israel". Jihad explains that Wolfensohn is a good (read leftist) Jew, while Wolfowitz is a bad (read neo con) Jew. Al Khazen's nauseating unctuousness brings to mind the recent visit of Musharraf, who spoke in front of a gathering organised by the American Jewish Congress. Musharraf flattered the Jewish leaders (who had visited him in Pakistan) by praising them for backing the deportation of Jews from Gaza, and promised that if the did his bidding by pushing for a 'Palestinian' state they would be rewarded with diplomatic relations with Israel. Musharraf also cynically lauded the Israel bashing, leftist Jewish billionaire George Soros, for contributing money to the Bosnian Muslims who comprise what is known as the 'White Al Qaeda' and are pushing for an Islamist state in the Balkans.

Ayoon wa Azan (Good and Bad)

Jihad Al Khazen Al-Hayat 2005/03/20

Every people have their good and bad elements; there is no better example on the good Jews than James Wolfensohn, and no better on the bad elements than Paul Wolfowitz.

Wolfowitz will succeed Wolfensohn in heading the World Bank, after the latter completes two terms that were the best that the World Bank ever witnessed since its establishment in 1946. I will talk about Wolfensohn in more detail after he retires next June; as for today, I would like to start with a few words on him before moving on to Wolfowitz.

I knew about Wolfensohn and his work through my membership in the committee of advisors of the World Bank in the Middle East and North Africa. I appreciated his interest in the Arab countries, and his attempt to help and offer advice; I also appreciated his interest in the poor countries, especially those of the southern African Sahara.

However, my good impression of this man doubled in the lapse of one meeting I had with him in the suite of Yasser Arafat near the end of January 2001 in Davos, on the margin of the World Economic Forum that year.

Arafat was receiving a President of state, when the head of the World Bank arrived; so I went with my friend Sobeih Al Masri to sit with him around a circle table on the other side of the large room, and we were later joined by Dr. Saeb Erakat, who came from Taba carrying the maps of the 'final solution' between Israel and Palestine. Wolfensohn followed the account of the senior Palestinian negotiator with a lot of interest, and he promised to offer assistance. Later on, he visited Lebanon after receiving an invitation from late Rafiq Hariri, and when I told him to take care of Lebanon's Prime Minister, he told me that he was friends with Hariri, that he was proud of this friendship, appreciated the work of Hariri, and was willing to help him in any possible way in order to help rebuild Lebanon.

When we moved to the corner of the room in which Arafat was, Wolfensohn took out his notebook, and started reading out to the Palestinian President the derails of his trip to the Gulf and Western Europe, advising Arafat on what he could demand, what he could expect, and the best way to deal with this or that country.

Wolfensohn was speaking smartly and accurately, and we were sometimes helping him in translating for Arafat. I felt that the Head of the World Bank wanted a Palestinian State with the same fervor that we felt, and wanted it to be a state capable of life, in which its people would have a good living.

When a man is good, his good reaches all people, and not only one people apart of others, or one cause without any other; The Economist said last year that the World Bank was doing more to fight poverty, than any other international institution. As Wolfensohn had always been interested in the status of poor countries, tried to assist them, push the wealthy countries to exempt them from debts, and push them towards reforming their political and economic institutions.

Wolfensohn is an international banking man par excellence, and a big millionaire who stopped all kinds of financial and banking activities when he became the head of the World Bank. He also has some cultural and welfare activities all over the world.

On the other hand, Wolfowitz is an important academician and intellectual, who has a very sharp intelligence, and who has a long and varied governmental knowledge.

I am writing this based on my Arab convictions, and I wish to be objective despite my general national commitment; I would like to attest that Wolfowitz has used his high intelligence and influence in order to oppose the Arabs and Muslims in Palestine, Iraq, and wherever he could.

He started working with Richard Perle for Senator Henry (Scoop) Jackson, and in 1973, started working for the Arms Control and Disarmament Agency (ACDA). In 1978, he was investigated for providing a classified document on the proposed sale of U.S. weapons to an Arab government, to an Israel Government official, through an AIPAC intermediary. On that same year, I started getting interested in the Israeli mob of extremist officials in the American administration, with the uncovering of the Stephen Green scandal, which also involved the leaking of secret documents to some Israeli officials, just like Wolfowitz did, and many others of Israel's supporters prior to him and after him, until the Larry Franklin affair last year; however, each of these cases was closed, and no one was punished except Jonathan Pollard.

Wolfowitz could not care less about punishing the terrorists who killed thousands of Americans in the 9/11 attacks; however, he found in that incident the perfect opportunity to push the U.S. administration towards going to war on Iraq. It later turned out that he had demanded this war during the first administration meeting following 9/11 and that he repeating this demand until he succeeded in launching the unjustified and destructive war.

The interested reader could have a look at Wolfowitz's stance as part of the 1998 public letter to President Bill Clinton, which he co-signed, organized by the "Project for the New American Century." The letter, citing Saddam Hussein's continued possession of "weapons of mass destruction" (WMDs), and argued for military action to achieve regime change and demilitarization of Iraq. A similar letter was addressed to George W. Bush on September 20th 2001, which contained incitement against Iraq, Hezbollah, and sided with Israel against the Palestinians. Both letters were signed by the most prominent Israel supporters within the administration and around it, and who claim to be Americans.

Wolfowitz said that Saddam Hussein possessed WMDs, and this accusation was proven wrong. It was also proven that Saddam had no link with Al-Qaeda. Wolfowitz said that the Iraqi people 'would welcome us as liberators, just like the French did in the 1940s,' and the result is that more than 1,500 Americans were killed in the war so far, in addition to tens of thousands of injured, and around 100,000 Iraqis killed, with the sweeping majority being civilians.

Wolfowitz said that Iraq's oil would pay for the reconstruction of the country, and the war has cost $200 billion so far. General Tommy Franks confirmed that he had advised Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and his Depute Wolfowitz, to prepare for the post-war stage, but they did not. Iraq, its people, and the people of the region and the world will all pay the price.

I cannot believe that a man as intelligent as Wolfowitz was fooled by the likes of Ahmad Chalabi; I think that the neo-conservatives' agenda was the lack of having an agenda, in order to lead to the destruction of Iraq as a favor for Israel.

Today, I am comparing between Wolfowitz and Wolfensohn, and I would like to say that there is no way for comparison. I would also like to warn the Arab reader who thinks that all Jews are of the likes of Wolfowitz, that the likes of Wolfensohn are many.
