CAIR Philadelphia Presser: Muqtedar Khan and Jihad by the Pen

By WILLIAM MAYER and BEILA RABINOWITZ

August 29, 2016 – San Francisco, CA – PipeLineNews.org – In what is a stupefyingly disrespectful press release, CAIR Philly seems to be channeling the voice of HAMAS and other Sunni terrorist organizations as it uses the upcoming 15 year anniversary of the September 11 Muslim attacks which killed nearly 3,000 Americans to argue that the lesson which should be learned from that dark day is that the United States is an incurably Islamophobic warlike nation, deserving of the ire of Muslims.

"On a cloudless late summer day in September of 2001, the fate of the Muslim American community was unalterably changed when hijacked airlines slammed into the two World Trade Center Towers in New York. The attacks that morning led directly to the U.S. invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan, the draconian "War on Terror," the rise of ISIS, and the eruption of Islamophobia across America." We wish to thank CAIR Philly for laundering its hate-filled message of defiant savagery so publicly because it makes the following so much easier to compose.

Over the ensuing 15 years since America's worst mass casualty attack, thoughtful Americans have drawn an entirely different conclusion, one based upon reason:

Islam and Western values are thoroughly incompatible and thank you very much but this country has seen enough of the subversive nature of many of the sons and daughters of Allah to know we do not want any more.

The outrage to the memories of our beloved 911 heroes and heroines which CAIR Philly is organizing is going to be keynoted by Muqtedar Khan, "Department of Political Science and International Relations, University of Delaware; and President of Delaware Council on Global and Muslim Affairs, will speak on "A Muslim Perspective on 9/11."

Khan is a known quantity, an unapologetic Islamist who appeared to have had great sympathy for the Sunni suicide bombers who were responsible for killing so many U.S. servicemen in Iraq.

"The deaths of their own families, the destruction of their homes - all these are leading to frustration and anger and hopelessness, and they want the enemy to feel the same frustration and hopelessness, so they are resorting to this violence," said Muqtedar Khan, visiting fellow in foreign policy studies at the Brookings Institution and an expert in political Islam." [source, Inside the Mind of a Suicide Bomber, ABC News, Dec. 14, 2004]

The "moderate" Khan also seems to be a bit of a Jew hater, objecting to appearing on a 2007 University of Delaware panel discussion simply because one of the participants - a Jew, Asaf Romirowsky - had been a member of the IDF, as have most Israeli males of military age.

According to Campus Watch, Khan's emailed declination:

"I am also not sure how I feel about being on the same panel with an Israeli soldier who was stationed in West Bank. Some people see IDF as an occupying force in the West Bank. I am not sure that I will be comfortable occupying the same space with him. It is not fair to spring this surprise on me at the last moment." [source, Winfield Myers, Muqtedar Khan's Smoke Screen, Campus Watch cross-posted from FrontPage Magazine]

Aware of the controversy, student organizers of the panel then disinvited Romirowsky, with Khan then miraculously appearing, spared from possibly having to confront the viewpoint of a young man with whom he disagreed.

So here we have the strident "defender" of "Palestinian rights," refusing an opportunity to actually engage in a dialogue [which Khan almost invariably suggests as a method of conflict resolution] with someone who probably could have provided him with some insight as to what it's like on the ground dealing with the predation of HAMAS and other jihadist groups who use women and children as human shields.

We think Khan is simply a coward.

In a 2014 video, Khan is asked about the source of the Israeli - "Palestinian" conflict, listing in rapid succession the straight HAMAS talking points; that Israel is "occupying" the mythical entity "Palestine," stealing Arab lands, destroying residents' means of earning a living, on a daily basis "humiliating" them and then conducting, "periodical massacres of the population." [see, Muqtedar Khan, What is really fueling the Israeli-Palestinian conflict? ]

We aren't done with this dirt-bag; in a recent paper written for the Brookings Institute, Khan penned:

"A significant portion of the Muslim population not only believes that the so-called war on terror is not only a war on Islam but an unfair and unjust effort by a "Crusader-Zionist" entity to destroy the Muslim world in order to advance the interests of Israel and fundamentalist Christians, both of whom enjoy extraordinary influence on the White House. A quick Google search on the World Wide Web verifies this assertion. As recent Pew research data indicates, even citizens of American allies think that they might be attacked by the United States. As long as fear of American aggression and suspicion about who is shaping U.S. policies and reservations about what motivates U.S. policy continue, there will be animosity, hostility and resistance to American efforts in the region. The United States is suffering from a crisis of legitimacy in the Muslim world, and overcoming it must be the first priority." [source, Muqtedar Khan, Prospects for Muslim Democracy: The Role of U.S. Policy , Brookings Institute]

So once again we note Muqtedar's use of language indistinguishable from that of HAMAS and its brethren, though he rather inelegantly tries to make it appear that these were not his views, that misplayed gambit begs the question why set them forth, then offer an antidote for them if he indeed does not believe in the reality of a Zionist-Crusader war and the rest of this Islamist double-talk in the first place?

Khan is simply the latest in a very long string of stealth jihadists who daily advance the blood libel against Israel, Jews and of course their "backer," the United States that the West has intentionally and without provocation sought to carry on a war against Islam.

Finally, there is Khan's rather serious problem [in poker it would be called a "tell" an indication that someone is being less than honest in his representations] regarding Islamic triumphalism and Shari'a supremacy.

In a 2003 New York Times Op-Ed, Muqtedar Khan wrote a piece entitled, Putting the American in 'American Muslim.'

"…in the decade before the events of Sept. 11, Islam was one of the fastest-growing religions in North America. Mosques and Islamic schools were going up in every major city. Groups like the Council on American-Islamic Relations and the American Muslim Alliance established chapters in nearly every area with a Muslim population.

Muslim leaders, once a frustrated and marginal group, found themselves being courted by politicians…many Muslims believe it was their votes that made the difference in Florida, making them primarily responsible for placing President Bush in the White House.

At the time, the word that best summed up the Muslim sense of self was "fateh" -- a conqueror. Many religious and community leaders were convinced that Islam would not only manifest itself in its truest form in this country, but would also make America -- already a great power -- into a great society. Some even proclaimed that one day America would be an Islamic state. On Sept. 11, of course, that dream evaporated…"

For Muslim liars such as Khan, the Internet is their worst nightmare because it's so easy to dredge up previous statements and compare them with that which is being stated contemporaneously.

We trust that at this point Muqtedar Khan will be seen for what he is, your typical garden variety academic Muslim dissembler. There appears to be little question that Islamizing America would be Khan's fondest hope.

Ours is to crush his dreams this coming November and his bigoted, supremacist ideology in due course.

Oh one parting thought regarding Khan's association with the Council on American Islamic Relations. CAIR, Muqtedar's partner in the planned Philly 911 travesty has been identified in Federal Court decisions resulting from U.S. v. Holy Land Foundation for Development, et al., as an HAMAS front group.

As detailed by internationally respected terrorism expert Steven Emerson and appearing on his website, The Investigative Project on Terrorism is the following:

"Federal District Court Judge Jorge Solis in a 2009 decision stated: "The government has produced ample evidence to establish the associations of CAIR, ISNA, NAIT, with NAIT, the Islamic Association for Palestine, and with Hamas," U.S. District Court Judge Jorge Solis said in the July 1, 2009, ruling..."
