North Carolina teen 'who wanted to show his support to ISIS by killing 1,000 Americans' is arrested after his father alerted authorities
Justin Nojan Sullivan, a self-described Muslim convert from Morganton, North Carolina, was arrested on Friday and appeared in court on Monday
His dad called authorities in April to report that the teenager was destroying religious items and added: 'We are scared to leave the house'
An undercover FBI agent contacted Sullivan 'who said he wanted to kill 1,000 people with biological weapons, gas bombs and cyanide bullets'
He 'said he was going to buy a gun on June so he could kill people'
Authorities arrested him on Friday and found a silencer at his home
Justin Nojan Sullivan, a self-described Muslim convert from Morganton, North Carolina, was arrested on Friday and faces several charges, including attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State group.
Federal authorities were first made aware of the teen's alleged plot when his father, Richie Sullivan, told emergency dispatchers on April 21 that his son was destroying religious items in their home.
'I don't know if it is ISIS or what, but he is destroying Buddhas and figurines and stuff,' Mr Sullivan, a former Marine, said, according to the criminal complaint filed on Monday. 'I mean, we are scared to leave the house.'
In the background of the call, his son was heard asking: 'Why are you trying to say I am a terrorist?'
When an undercover FBI employee made contact with Sullivan on June 6, the teen told him via email that he was a a Muslim convert, according to court documents.
I liked IS from the beginning then I started thinking about death and stuff so I became Muslim,' he said, according to the complaint.
Two days later, he said he wanted to kill 500 people but the next day said he wanted to kill 1,000 by using biological weapons, a gas bomb and bullets coated with cyanide.
'Even if we get someone in the arm they'll still die because of the poison,' he allegedly said. 'It's vengeance...'

They say that the family that prays together, stays together, but it doesn't quite work that way when a member of your family begins praying to Allah instead.
Justin Nojan Sullivan aptly summed up his journey when he stated that, "I started thinking about death and stuff so I became Muslim."
He began destroying Buddha figurines and other statues at home and plotting a terrorist attack and the murder of his parents.
But he apparently wasn't on investigators' radar until April, when his father called 911 to report that he was destroying Buddha figurines and had doused their religious objects with gasoline.
"We are scared to leave the house," the father told the operator, according to the court documents.
Sullivan could he heard in the background asking, "Why are you trying to say I'm a terrorist?"
It might have been the terrorism thing [2].
A North Carolina man was charged today with planning to gun down "a large number of citizens" in attacks to support ISIS here in the United States, authorities said.
Justin Sullivan planned to buy a semi-automatic AR-15 rifle at the Hickory, North Carolina gun show, and use it to kill people "at a bar or concert."
Sullivan is charged with one count of attempting to provide material support to ISIS, one count of transporting and receiving a silencer in interstate commerce with intent to commit a felony, and one count of receipt and possession of an unregistered silencer, unidentified by a serial number.
According to the charging document, Sullivan wrote the undercover officer, "500 is an incorrect body count." He said 1,000 was correct, "I'm thinking about using biological weapons … coat our bullets with cyanide … and then set off a gas bomb to finish the rest."
In one of his last conversations with the undercover agent, authorities said Sullivan talked about a second attack, "we could use a U-Haul packed with bombs and then detonate it."
How original.
So Justin will be headed to jail and we won't be having the same conversation we are about Roof even though they're both white kids plotting mass murder, because while attacking the Confederate flag as a symbol of hate is safe, condemning the Koran for preaching real violence isn't.
