Dutch Woman Who Refused Candy To Muslim Children On Christian Holiday Facing Discrimination Investigation

Woman refuses to give candy to Moroccan children
The Discrimination Reporting Point is launching an investigation into a woman in Amsterdam who allegedly refused to give candy to children of Moroccan origin during the Saint Maarten festival.
The children, aged between four and seven years old were going door to door with both their mothers. By one woman they were told that Saint Maarten "was a Christian festival and not intended for Muslims" reports the AT5.
The mothers have filed a complaint with The Discrimination Reporting Point. They are now investigating the matter.

Vrouw weigert snoep te geven aan Marokkaanse kinderen
AMSTERDAM -Meldpunt Discriminatie doet onderzoek naar een Amsterdamse vrouw die tijdens Sint Maarten geweigerd zou hebben om snoep te geven aan kinderen van Marokkaanse afkomst.
De kinderen, tussen de vier en zeven jaar, gingen langs de deuren met hun twee moeders. Bij een vrouw kregen ze echter te horen dat Sint Maarten "een christelijk feest is en niet bedoeld voor moslims," zo meldt AT5.
De moeders hebben een klacht ingediend bij Meldpunt Discriminatie. Die onderzoekt de kwestie nu.
