Chaya Borovsky recalls her son, slain by a terrorist in Samaria. ‘He was never afraid.' By Maayana Miskin First Publish: 5/2/2013, 6:57 PM

On Tuesday, 31-year-old Evyatar Borovsky was murdered by a Palestinian Authority resident terrorist as he waited for a ride at a junction in Samaria (Shomron). His mother, Chaya Borovsky, recalled her son in an interview Thursday with Arutz Sheva.

"He was a wonderful son, an honest man. A tzaddik [righteous man] has gone," she said.

"He was special," she said. "Recently he had started learning medical clowning. He always made us laugh, since he was little."

Borovsky was survived by five children. "Five small children, five small orphans left behind. The youngest is one year old and the oldest is seven," she said.

"I hope we get through this. We have no choice," she added.

Chaya said she spoke to her grandchildren and told them that their father is not coming back. "Yesterday three of them were here and today two are coming. I spoke to the third son, who is four and a half, on the phone, and he told me that a wicked Arab man murdered Daddy and Daddy died. The six-year-old said that soon Daddy will come back from heaven," she said.

Evyatar was not afraid to live in the Samaria community of Yitzhar despite the fact that the community has been targeted by terrorists, she recalled. "He knew the type of place he was going to. He had a goal. Evyatar carried a gun and he was never afraid, he believed in G-d."
