July 5, 2011 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - In a joint statement Peter King [R-NY] and Frank Wolf [R-VA] have asked the Acting Director of the Bureau of Prisons, Thomas Kane, to remove radical Islamist materials, including those produced by the Nation of Islam and its leader Louis Farrakhan which is intended to sow racial and religious hatred.
The move comes on the heels of a recently concluded hearing by King's Homeland Security Committee which point to increasing use of the nation's prisons to Islamize inmates.
One of the video's in question reportedly contains a statement by Farrakhan who claims, "I hasten to tell you that the precious lives that were lost in the World Trade Center was a cover, a cover for a war that had been planned to bring a pipeline through Afghanistan to bring oil from that region, oil owned by Unocal, of which Dick Cheney is a stock holder."
In an effort to demonstrate the relevance of their request, Wolf and King also highlighted an incident that occurred last month in which two radicalized converts were arrested for attempting a "Fort Hood-style assault" on a military facility in Seattle, Washington. According to ABC News, "both suspects were believed to have met in prison and to have converted to Islam in prison."
