One Killed Fifty Wounded In Jerusalem Terrorist Attack

March 23, 2011

March 23 2011- Militant Islam Monitor -Terrorists planted a bomb at a public telephone booth near a kiosk by a busy bus terminal in Jerusalem which exploded as two buses passed by killing one woman and wounding 50 others some critically.

The brother in law of the proprietor of the kiosk was on the phone with the police alerting them to a suspicious package when the explosion occurred. He also kept people away from the area.

The same kiosk had been destroyed in a 1994 suicide bombing and was rebuilt and renamed "Blast of a Kiosk".

Islamic Jihad and Hizbollah praised the attack but no group has yet claimed responsibility.

According to Israel National News:

"ZAKA rescue service personnel were able to arrive at the scene immediately because they were at a meeting nearby, discussing sending aid to disaster-stricken Japan, when they felt the reverberations of the blast. The attack occurred in virtually the same place struck by another Palestinian terrorist in 1994.

"We didn't wait even for a second; we just got up and ran to the bus station," Zaka volunteer Moti Bukchi told Channel 2 television. "I saw two women lying on the ground, unconscious and covered in blood."

Wednesday's attack was the first major terrorist incident in Jerusalem since the tractor attacks and the massacre of eight people at the Mercaz HaRav Yeshiva in March 2008."http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/143092
