MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD GROUP, ISNA, COMING TO FORT LAUDERDALE

AMERICANS AGAINST HATE TO PROTEST

(Fort Lauderdale, FL) The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the largest Muslim Brotherhood group inside the United States, will be holding its ISNA East Zone Conference this weekend, at the Broward County Convention Center, a taxpayer-funded facility.

ISNA was co-founded by Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) leader and convicted terrorist Sami al-Arian, and the organization was recently named by the U.S. government a co-conspirator for a federal trial dealing with the financing of millions of dollars to Hamas.

Americans Against Hate (AAH), the anti-bigotry, terrorism watchdog group, will be holding a demonstration against ISNA outside of the Broward convention center, starting at 4:00 pm on Saturday.

AAH will be condemning any member of government who participates in ISNA's conference. Scheduled to speak at the conference are Sunrise Commissioner Larry Sofield and Broward County Commissioner Barbara Sharief.

AAH Chairman Joe Kaufman, who will be leading the protest, stated, "If we truly have a war on terrorism and if terrorism is not okay, then why would a group like ISNA, which was created by and which supports terrorists, be allowed to exist inside the U.S.? We believe terrorism is not okay, and we therefore believe groups like ISNA should be shut down."

When: Saturday, January 8, 2011, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm
Where: Outside the Broward County Convention Center, at the corner of 17th St. and Eisenhower Blvd
