January 1, 2011 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - The jihad against Middle East Christians showed no signs of lessening in the New Year, as a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device at the Coptic Christian Saints Church in Alexandria, Egypt, killing over 20 and wounding dozens more. Despite president Mubarak's effort to shift blame to outsiders - primarily al-Qaeda - Egypt's intolerance of its Christian population has long been documented. Cairo's Al-Azhar University has functioned as the primary training institute for imams for nearly a millennium, having produced such luminaries as Ayman al-Zawahiri, bin-Laden's second in command and Omar Abdel-Rahman, the "Blind Sheikh," currently serving a life sentence for his role in the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center.
Saturday's blast continues a wave of anti-Christian violence which has spread across the Muslim world - from Egypt to Malaysia - against a backdrop of silence from Team Obama.
