U.S. Muslim Groups Demand Meeting with Obama, Urge End of Gaza Blockade

June 4, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - The Islamic Society of North America [ISNA] and the American Arab Institute [AAI] are demanding - via an open letter to president Obama - an opportunity to meet with him in order to, "call for an end to blockade of Gaza...[and] to discuss the recent incident of violence against the humanitarian aid convoy traveling to Gaza."
ISNA was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in one of America's largest terror trials, U.S. vs. Holy Land Foundation. The successful prosecution resulted in the conviction of all of the defendants on 108 charges and proved that the phony Muslim charity, the Holy Land Foundation, had sent at least $12 million to fund the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas.
The AAI is run by James Zogby, a virulent critic of Israel whose organization is partially funded by the Saudis.

In the letter, ISNA president Ingrid Mattson stated, "One year after Obama's Cairo speech, this tragic incident threatens to undermine both the president's efforts to broker peace between the Israelis and Palestinians and the confidence he sought to inspire in his address to the Muslim world." The communication further demanded that Obama should, "demand an independent investigation into this violent attack and to ensure protections and rights for U.S. citizens who were a part of this humanitarian effort ... [and] to address this crisis in a manner consistent with the vision you advanced in Cairo and to exercise American leadership by calling for an end to the blockade of Gaza." The group plans to ask Mr. Obama to, "uphold the goals of his Cairo speech."
Once again the Obama administration's pandering to Islamists has provided them with easier access to White House policy makers and emboldened them into pressuring the US government into taking measures which would be of detriment to Israel and consquently weaken American national security.
