Verdict In - Al -Qaeda, The Taliban And Their American Muslim Apologists Loved Obama's Dhimmi Cairo Speech

By BEILA RABINOWITZ and WILLIAM MAYER

June 8, 2009 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - President Obama's guilt tinged speech of surrender in Cairo last week seems to have garnered near unanimous approval from the most radical Islamist groups in the world, including the Taliban, Hamas and Al-Qaeda.

About Obama's address, Fawzi Barhoum a spokesman for Hamas said, "We think we can build on this speech. We can take positive things from the speech to open communications with Obama and the U.S. administration." They noted he did not use the word "terrorism" or "terrorist" once in the 55-minute address - words that many thought had been devalued under the Bush administration and too often equated with Muslims. Yes of course one would not want to "equate" Muslim terrorism with the actual Islamic practitioners of the craft.

Joining in the Muslim love-fest were the United States' phalanx of Islamist stealth jihad groups.

For example the Council on American Islamic Relations [CAIR, a Saudi funded Hamas mouthpiece, still reeling from the conviction of its Texas chapter founder, Ghassan Elashi in the Holy Land Foundation terrorism prosecution] called the speech "comprehensive, balanced and forthright" and issued a statement which proclaimed, "By quoting the Quran on issues such as diversity, justice and the sanctity of human life, the president acknowledged Islam's contributions to universal values...We further commend him for recognizing that defeating violent extremism cannot be achieved b y solely relying on military means, but that it requires a comprehensive strategy that addresses the grievances that give rise to anger, disillusion and discontent, including injustice, poverty, occupation, and dictatorship.…." In a press release the Islamic Society of North America [ISNA] the largest Wahhabist da'wa organization in North America and closely linked to Egypt's terrorist Muslim Brotherhood stated, "We are particularly pleased with the President's acknowledgement of the positive contribution the Islamic faith and Muslim peoples have made to world civilization, as well as with his recognition of the important contributions the growing Muslim American community has made...We applaud the President's recognition of the problems Muslim American charities have been having and the hardship that resulted from the "rules on charitable giving" by federal agencies. We welcome his commitment to ensure that Muslim Americans can fulfill their zakat duty, a religious obligation to provide the needy with financial support. The Islamic Circle of North America [ICNA] whose ICNA Southeast website at one time linked to al-Qaeda associated Chechnya terror recruiters said, "The America that was envisioned by the founding fathers was presented in reality for the first time as President Barack Obama delivered his historical speech...The President showed his respect for Islam and Muslims and presented the true picture of Islam....President Obama's speech presents a great shift in American foreign policy." The Muslim Public Affairs Council [MPAC] whose director insinuated that Israel was responsible for 9/11 [and that only Israel benefitted from the September terrorist attack] held a press conference about the speech and stated, "The president proved that he is the best ambassador to the Muslim world..By quoting the Quran and Islamic history, President Obama demonstrated a willingness and interest in the Muslim world that allows for greater understanding and harmony. He addressed difficult issues head-on while remaining respectful. This new tone, paves an essential path towards a new beginning." [source, http://www.mpac.org/article.php?id=824]

With near unanimity of approval these radical Muslim pressure groups have lauded Obama's Cairo speech, making it clear to all who are paying attention that the event served as an unprecedented example of dhimmitude, a wholesale reversal of an up-to-now successful foreign policy and therefore a key victory for Islamists worldwide. http://www.pipelinenews.org/index.cfm?page=cairospeechid=6.8.09%2Ehtm
