Clueless Obama Homeland Security Chief Napolitano - Islamic Terrorism Now "Man Caused Disasters" By WILLIAM MAYER and BEILA RABINOWITZ
Napolitano: Of course it does. I presume there is always a threat from terrorism. In my speech, although I did not use the word "terrorism," I referred to "man-caused" disasters. That is perhaps only a nuance, but it demonstrates that we want to move away from the politics of fear toward a policy of being prepared for all risks that can occur." As these writers stated in Terms "Jihadist" And "Islamo-Fascist" Booted By Feds For Fear Of Antagonizing Jihadists and Islamo-Fascists Ms. Napolitano's linguistic gyrations unfortunately had their origins in programs put together in the waning days of the GW Bush administration [Dept. of State, Homeland Security and the Nat'l Counterterrorism Center] seemingly designed to protect the tender sensibilities of the Islamists at the expense of censoring the most reasonable language in discussing the war on Islamic terrorism.
What had been sheepishly advanced in a limited way at the tail end of the previous administration has now emerged, full force, as the official policy of this administration. That Ms. Napolitano is so unmindful of the potential repercussions that such appeasing language sends is not surprising; she has zero credentials in anything related to her new job tasks, no background in either military or intelligence matters. Her rise to political "stardom," such as it is in her party, largely occurred due to her representing Anita Hill at the attempted Democrat lynching of Clarence Thomas during his Senate hearings. Napolitano's puerile wordsmithing is sending a very bad message, telling those who seek to advance Islam through mass violence that we have so lost our nerve in resisting their advance that we are even unwilling to hurt their feelings. http://www.pipelinenews.org/index.cfm?page=napolitanoid=3.18.09%2Ehtm |
