Terror Linked Group - CAIR - Calls Israeli Anti-Hamas Action "Massacre"

By WILLIAM MAYER and BEILA RABINOWITZ

December 29, 2008 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - Decrying what it calls Israel's "disproportionate and counterproductive...attacks," the Council on American Islamic Relations [CAIR, Hamas' American propagandist] has joined with 11 terror friendly Islamist groups in a major PR push designed to save Hamas from being crushed by Israel.

For the most part the Western press is right on board, advancing the same agendized narrative as the enemy, arguing the absurd proposition that victims should be held to a higher standard of behavior than their assailants.

Nearly a year ago in January of 2008, Israel's U.N. Charge de Affairs Gilad Cohen made the following statement, "Since the year 2000, more than 7,000 rockets and mortars have been fired at Israel by terrorists in the Gaza Strip. Last year alone, that number was over 2,000. And since Hamas' violent takeover of Gaza in June 2007, the frequency of rocket attacks rose 150 percent, to more than 250 rockets and mortars a month. This means, on average, one rocket is fired at Israel every three hours."

Since that statement Hamas has only increased the level of violence, understandable from a power politics perspective, given the Israeli government's failure of will in the face of Hamas' aggression, especially the Olmert administration's show of weakness last September announcing its intention to withdraw from the West Bank. [see, Olmert Says Israel Should Pull Out of West Bank , http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/30/world/middleeast/30olmert.html ]

Appeasement has figured prominently in Israel's recent history. The withdrawal from Gaza and the total dismantling of the settlements there led to the area being controlled by a terrorist entity, Hamas.

As these writers observed in Israel's Confusion In The Wake Of Its Forced Removal Of The Gaza Settlements

Less than a year ago in August of 2005 then Prime Minister Ariel Sharon employed the IDF in a very different capacity - using 55,000 soldiers and about 8,000 police to remove approximately 9,000 - mostly orthodox or self-described "ultra orthodox" - settlers from Gaza and the West Bank.

At the time Sharon stated his version of an intention well known to appeasers throughout time:

"Now the Palestinians bear the burden of proof. They must fight terror organizations, dismantle its infrastructure and show sincere intentions of peace in order to sit with us at the negotiating table. The world awaits the Palestinian response..."

The "Palestinians" have failed Sharon's test miserably. Instead of "fighting terror organizations," they have found common cause with them, they have at the very least enabled the terrorists, in many cases they and the terrorists are indistinguishable.

Hamas has proven itself true to the ideology of its founder, the Muslim Brotherhood, this irregular army of Muslim fanatics is and has been waging a war to the death against unbelievers, in this case Israel, since its inception. Hamas deserves nothing in the way of proportional response and to be brutally honest neither does the "civilian" population which has given moral and monetary support to it in its continuing jihad against the Jews.

Let's break this down to the personal, the following are drawings made by the children of Sderot, Israel. Are the innocents the ones who should be sacrificed on Hamas' altar as a result of hamstringing a small nation's right to defend itself?

How long will the West continue play these deadly serious game according to an outlandish, Marquis of Queensbury interpretation of the rules of warfare which only apply to the victims?

More of the personal...on the evening of February 9, 2008 two brothers, Osher [8], and Rami Tuito [19], were seriously wounded in the town of Sderot, Israel during a Qassam missile attack.

Both of the boys were struck in the legs with shrapnel from the rocket. The severity of the injuries to Osher's legs were so serious that one of them had to be amputated, the other surgically reconstructed.

Osher's brother Rami was less severely wounded but also required extensive surgery and a long period of convalescence.

About his son's injuries, Osher's father, Rafi, said, "He is just an eight-year-old kid. A child who should be playing football, riding his bike. How can such a child live with an amputated leg, with his entire life ahead of him?"

The attacks against Israel by the Islamists are allegorical. If not halted by force, the only thing brutal thugs understand, the same fate which has repeatedly struck Sderot, will inevitably befall the children of the West.

Unless and until this is understood by our political leadership, Hamas, Fatah and the myriad of allied radical Muslim terrorist groups will continue to be in ascendance and their jihad will proceed with even greater ferocity and abandon.

This is why accepting the type of advice offered today at the National Press Club by homegrown terror sympathizers - CAIR and MPAC - who counsel "proportional response" to the indefensible, would be folly of the highest order. http://www.pipelinenews.org/index.cfm?page=proportid=12.29.08%2Ehtm
