September 22, 2008 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - Al Muhajiroun, the UK Islamist group which noted terror experts have labeled as one of the West's most dangerous terrorist organizations, has re-resurfaced under a new name, the Salafi Youth Movement.
Salafism is one of the most radical interpretations of Islam having originated in Saudi Arabia, where it continues to hold great sway.
As these authors noted in a recent piece [Al Muhajiroun Resurfaces In London Under Guise Of "Association For Islamic Research," Ominously Warns Of Another 9/11 , http://www.pipelinenews.org/index.cfm?page=muhajirounid=9.15.08%2Ehtm] the group has gone through a number of costume changes since its nominal demise, operating first as Al Muhajiroun, then followed in close order as the Savior Sect, the Saved Sect, the above noted Association For Islamic Research and finally as the Salafi Youth Movement.
The "new" group is still headed by now exiled hateful imam, Omar Bakri, who is apparently hiding in Lebanon. Supporters of the organization - understood to have been a motivational force in the 7/7/05 London bombings - have previously issued veiled threats suggesting the UK is heading towards its own 9/11.
During a press conference announcing the reformatted group, Abu Azair a supporter, stated, "The youth are the spark of fire, but what do you normally fire with? A gun. A machine gun. A Kalashnikov…But the problem is that we are firing blanks…We don't even know that we have got machine guns in our hands…Unfortunately, we have been trapped in this filthy country…When someone says to you that Islam is compassion, they are wrong. Islam is about submission."
