Brit Court Clears Way For Extradition Of Terror Imam Abu Hamza November 15, 2007 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - London's Central Criminal Court today removed the last legal hurdle preventing the extradition of former Finsbury Park Mosque imam Abu Hamza to the United States. The London court refused to grant Hamza's appeal of an earlier ruling thus giving American federal prosecutors the opportunity to press charges that he assisted in the establishment of a terror training camp in Oregon. Speaking for the U.S. Dept of Justice, Hugo Keith stated last May:
"The general allegation is that Mr. Hamza is a member of a global conspiracy to wage jihad [holy war] against the US and other Western countries," and that such warfare has been conducted, "in numerous parts of the world [including] the UK, Afghanistan, Yemen and U.S." In a June 26, 2007 exclusive story, The Inside Story Of How Abu Hamza Was Arrested, How One Person Made A Difference In The War On Islamic Terror, Glen Jenvey, who was intimately involved with the gathering of evidence against Hamza wrote:
"Even before 9/11, I had started to take a keen interest in the activities of Abu Hamza, the imam of Finsbury Park mosque and his organisation, "Supporters of Shariah." Soon after 9/11 I started a sting 'honey pot' web-site called www.islamic-news.co.uk with the help of a friend based in America. Hamza who emigrated from Egypt in the 80s, became the religious leader at North London's notorious Finsbury Park mosque where he incited the congregation to jihad, characterizing the U.S. war on terror a, "war against Islam" and charging that 9/11 was a Jewish plot to slander the Muslim religion. http://www.pipelinenews.org/index.cfm?page=hamza11.15.07%2Ehtm |
