Ahmad Saleem aka Shaheen: Convicted CAIR Sex Predator Shuts Down Facebook Page After Article About It

Exposure Of Inappropriate Pictures With Children Sends A Warning To Parents Worldwide
January 14, 2019

Unwanted exposure sends Ahmad Saleem into hiding.

January 7, 2019 Joe Kaufman Two weeks after an article I wrote, exposing former CAIR leader Ahmad Saleem's travails following his incarceration relating to his arrest for soliciting sex from a minor, Saleem has shut down his Facebook page. The article was a warning to parents that a sexual predator could be in their midst, and this piece should be considered no different.

On the night of May 20, 2015, Ahmad Abrar Saleem was arrested in Clermont, Florida, a short distance from his Orlando home. Saleem was intending to meet the twelve-year-old girl he had been chatting with online but, instead, met Sheriff's deputies waiting for him and 21 others in a child sex sting operation. He was charged with "use of computer to seduce/solicit/entice a child to commit sex act" and "travel to seduce, solicit, lure a child to commit sex act."

This took place at a very inauspicious time for Saleem. He had recently been named Orlando Regional Coordinator for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), an offshoot of Hamas, yet one of the most prominent Muslim groups in the US.

Merely two weeks prior to his arrest, Saleem placed on Facebook a photo of himself posing with 60 other CAIR leaders from around the nation. He is seated in the front row only five seats from CAIR's founder and National Executive Director Nihad Awad. About the photo, he wrote, "Proud to upgrade this year to be sitting and being amongst such community giants… May Allah bless the CAIR National team across the country…"

For Saleem, all of this was destroyed, as CAIR could not run away from Saleem's problems quick enough.

In December 2016, Saleem was sentenced to two years behind bars in state prison, on the lesser charge of "willful child abuse." As the charge did not specifically entail a sex act, this allowed him to escape having to have his name listed on sex crime registries. However, it doesn't lessen the vile and perverted circumstances behind the crime he committed, and it doesn't make him any less of a threat to the towns he chooses to reside in.

Saleem has made it a point to devote much of his life to surrounding himself with young people. He is a former President of the Muslim Students Association (MSA) at the University of Central Florida (UCF), and he was the MSA National Service Director. He served as a board member of Muslim Youth Project USA. He founded the Saleem Academy, an organization dedicated to empowering young Muslims. And he was a featured speaker with at least one youth ‘Retreat & Camp' organized by Young Muslims (YM), the youth group of the Islamic Circle of North America's (ICNA), an organization associated with Islamist radicals in South Asia.

Indeed, Saleem's license plate at the time of his arrest, read, "Invest in Children."

Recently, following his August 2018 release from prison, Saleem reactivated his Facebook page. During his criminal case, it was inaccessible. The page included photos of Saleem with children containing inappropriate language and in compromising positions. One, posted April 2014, has Saleem holding the hand of a small girl [maybe five-years-old] with him referring to her as "My little lover." Another has him with the same girl putting a stuffed dog to his face with him writing, "Is this your way of kissing me, A'aishah?" Yet another has him lounging on a bed with two small girls laying on his lap with him writing, "Get off me?... please? lol."

The page announced that Saleem had moved to Denver, Colorado, far from his Orlando home.

On November 14th, Saleem posted onto Facebook a photo of himself at the Islamabad International Airport, located in Islamabad, Pakistan. Saleem had left the United States. From the airport, he headed to a conference in Islamabad. On December 6th, he posted a photo of himself at the Pakistan Monument, a national landmark and heritage museum also located in Islamabad. Next to the photo, he claimed that he would be staying in Pakistan until at least the middle of January.

On December 11th, Saleem changed his name on Facebook to "Ahmad Shaheen." He did not provide a reason for this, but one could easily speculate that it was to hide the identity of his deviant past. By the New Year though, his Facebook page was entirely gone.

Following his incarceration, it was certainly a reckless, if not incredibly dumb, move to release and allow access to his Facebook page, especially providing the risqué photos it contained. However, given his arrest and degenerate behavior, being reckless appears to be a natural instinct for Saleem.

It is precisely because of this behavior that a loud warning needs to be heard by parents everywhere, from Orlando, Florida to Denver, Colorado to Islamabad, Pakistan. Ahmad Saleem – the pervert who changes his name, the convict who hides evidence, the Muslim extremist who speaks at Islamist retreats – may be coming to a town near you.
