Jews For Jihad: Robert Silverman & The American Jewish Committee Fund Rebuilding Of Omar Mateen's Mosque & Terror Hub

AJC aka American Jews Who Need To Be Committed
December 13, 2016

MIM: Robert Silverman and the American Jewish Committee have once again proven that they really are American Jews who need to be committed to an insane asylum.

"...Left-wing groups like the AJC have sold out the Jewish community by taking the side of Muslims over their Jewish victims. They have allied with Islamic hate groups supportive not of Jews, but of the murder of Jews..." http://sultanknish.blogspot.com/2016/12/trump-or-hamas.html

"...The Fort Pierce radical mosque has produced a suicide bomber, an individual who has committed the deadliest mass shooting in US history, and a Taliban supporter who was the Vice President of the mosque. It makes sense then that, following the shooting attack, ICFP would take as a spokesman for the mosque a leader of a group associated with terrorism. That's exactly what the mosque did, when it named Wilfredo Amr Ruiz, a local leader of the Hamas-related CAIR, as the mosque's new spokesman...."http://www.militantislammonitor.org/article/id/7340

AJC donates to rebuilding of Florida mosque destroyed by arson

The American Jewish Committee donates funds to help rebuild a Florida mosque destroyed by arson.

12/13/16

The American Jewish Committee has donated funds to help rebuild a Florida mosque destroyed by arson.

Robert Silverman, the AJC's director of Muslim-Jewish Relations, visited the Islamic Center of Fort Pierce, in central Florida, on Friday to deliver the donation and speak to worshippers at a morning prayer service.

"When Jews were persecuted in Europe during the time of the Inquisition centuries ago, they took shelter in Islamic lands," Silverman told the assembled, according to an AJC statement. "Welcoming those refugees was an act of kindness that will never be forgotten by the Jewish people. Today, AJC is honored to give back in a small, symbolic way.

"An attack on any house of worship is an affront to all Americans, regardless of their religious affiliation. Burning a mosque is a hate crime condemned by the entire American Jewish community."

The alleged perpetrator of the arson, Joseph Michael Schreiber, 32, reportedly is Jewish. Schreiber, an ex-convict, is facing at least 30 years in prison if convicted of the attack, which has been classified as a hate crime.

Schreiber, who has posted anti-Islamic material on social media, allegedly set the fire on the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks

Muslim-Jewish Relations

AJC U.S. Director of Muslim-Jewish Relations, Robert Silverman (left), with Rabia Chaudry (center), United States Institute of Peace and Muslim-Jewish Advisory Council Member, and Imam Yahya Hendi (left), Muslim Chaplain at Georgetown University, at a recent AJC Global Forum.

AJC has thrived for over 110 years as the leading Jewish advocacy organization by anticipating the future and adapting to new challenges, proactively embracing change. Thus the relationship of Jews and the Jewish community to the Muslim world—indeed the relationship between Islam and Judaism—is not just a matter of abstraction or theology, but of existential reality in the twenty-first century. At this historic moment, when the American Jewish community is thriving and influential, cooperation with the rising Muslim minority is not just a matter of moral sentiment, but is a pragmatic necessity. We must perceive the new possibilities that are open towards building relationships with the Muslim leadership so that we can together create the kind of society that fulfills the noblest traditions of Judaism.

AJC and Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) co-convened the Muslim-Jewish Advisory Council (MJAC) on November 3, 2016. This new council is a tangible realization of AJC's commitment to joint work with the American Muslim community, for the benefit of the entire country.

Trump or Hamas

Posted by Daniel Greenfield

The Islamic Society of North America was named by the Justice Department as an unindicted co-conspirator in funding Hamas. It was linked to two Hamas funding fronts, the Holy Land Foundation and KindHearts. ISNA's checks were made payable to the "Palestinian Mujahadeen" or "Holy Warriors" which was a name used by Hamas.

ISNA's co-founder Sami Al-Arian was the local head of Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Mousa Abu Marzook, a top Hamas official listed by the Treasury Department as a Specially Designated Terrorist, received tens of thousands of dollars from ISNA.

This should have come as no surprise as both ISNA and Hamas are arms of the Muslim Brotherhood.

But the American Jewish Committee has decided to team up with the financiers of the murder of Jews to oppose Trump. The left wing Jewish group and an Islamist organization that wrote out checks to Islamic terrorists enabling them to kill Jews have formed the "Muslim-Jewish Advisory Council".

Statements from both ISNA and the AJC made it clear that this was a reaction to Trump's win.

"We are uniting to help the administration navigate in the proper constitutional manner, to uphold freedom of religion and constitutional rights for all American citizens," Eftakhar Alam of ISNA said.

"It is a reaction to some of the bigotry and hate speech that came out of the campaign," Robert Silverman, the AJC's director of Muslim-Jewish relations said. "We're concerned about the public discourse in the whole country. We're also concerned about messages that originated within the two communities. The Trump phenomenon is only going to make it come together more quickly."

The love affair that birthed the Wolf-Sheep Advisory Council is mostly unrequited. While the AJC loudly trumpets its new friendship, as of this writing ISNA has yet to inform its brethren of the alliance with the sons of apes and pigs in its news section. ISNA's list of interfaith partners doesn't even mention the AJC.

But appeasing those who hate you wins more enthusiasm from the appeasers than the appeased.

Farooq Kathwari, the Muslim co-chair of the Muslim-Jewish Advisory Council, had his name on a report by the American Muslim Task Force which defended Muslim donations to Islamic terrorist groups including Hezbollah. "It was difficult for Muslim Americans… to ease the plight of Lebanese civilians without risking scrutiny by the U.S. government for aiding organizations connected with Hezbollah," the report complained.

The Muslim council members include ISNA's Imam Mohamed Magid who gave a diversity award to a CAIR official who had declared that Jews had incurred the wrath of Allah. Magid had called for an end to Israel's blockade of Hamas in Gaza and the ISNA statement it was appended to had decried that Islamic terrorists had not been consulted in ceasefire negotiations.

Also on the Council is ISNA's Sayyid Syeed who had declared, "Our job is to change the Constitution of America". He had formerly headed up the Muslim Students Association and worked in a senior position at the International Institute of Islamic Thought, another unindicted co-conspirator in funding Hamas whose ranks included a number of Islamic terrorists fighting against Israel.

But it's more interesting to note who in ISNA's leadership isn't on the Council.

There's Iqbal Unus whose home had been raided in connection with an investigation into Hamas and Islamic Jihad funding. There's also the co-founder of ISNA, Muzammil Siddiqi, who hosted and translated a speech by the infamous Blind Sheikh, linked to the World Trade Center bombing, in which he declared, "If you are not going to the jihad, then you are neglecting the rules of Allah."

Siddiqi predicted the Islamic conquest and destruction of Israel. "In a few years we will be celebrating with each other the victory of Islam in Palestine. Insh'allah, we shall be celebrating the coming of the Masjid al-Aqsa under the Islamic rule. We shall be celebrating insh'allah the coming of Jerusalem and the whole land of Palestine insh'allah and the establishment of the Islamic State throughout that area."

It would be a little awkward to have the man who praised suicide bombers and called for the destruction of the Jewish State on the Muslim-Jewish Advisory Council.

But no doubt a way could be found to finesse the problem.

Siddiqi is still a prominent figure in ISNA. The Muslim-Jewish Advisory Council is a sick sad joke in which Jewish lefties ally with Jihadists against a pro-Israel administration while claiming that they share goals.

Which goals exactly does the American Jewish Committee share with Siddiqi? Is the AJC also anticipating the creation of an Islamic State in Jerusalem?

Instead of representing the needs of the Jewish community, the AJC has dived into the left-wing gutter, wailing against Trump and making alliances with the enemy to protect them from Trump.

Heading up the AJC's effort is Robert Silverman. Silverman is a State Department veteran with plenty of experience in the Muslim world. From the start he seemed far more intent on agitating on behalf of Muslims and against the critics of Islam than for Jews.

His pitch to Jews was collaborate now and perhaps our new Muslim overlords will be grateful.

"Showing support at this critical time will lead to good results for the Jewish people down the road," Silverman said. It didn't work with Mohammed or in Israel or Europe. But it's bound to work this time.

He warned American Jews not to complain about the risk of Muslim migration. "American Jews should be careful not to add to a climate of fear that exists in our country regarding immigrants."

The joint group will, among other things, lobby for refugees. The remaining Jewish refugees are fleeing Muslim violence and hate in Europe. If America is swamped by Muslim migrants the way Europe was, where will American Jews flee all these "refugees" to?

Meanwhile Silverman retweeted a message of approval from Glenn Greenwald who had criticized the inclusion of Hamas and Hezbollah on the terror list and described them as being "dedicated to protecting their citizens against the State of Israel." He complained, "and yet it is criminal in the United States to do anything that is deemed to be material support for Hamas and Hezbollah."

Greenwald had also spoken of "the role Judaism plays in the decades-long oppression by the Israelis of Palestinians."

Instead of fighting anti-Semitism, the American Jewish Committee was allying with anti-Semites.

While Muslim hate groups supported by ISNA terrorize Jewish students on campuses, the AJC expressed concern about "hate" against Muslims on campuses.

The media and left-wing groups are bombarding Jews daily with alarmist warnings about Trump while urging them to ally with our Muslim "friends". Here's what an alliance with those friends looks like.

Left-wing groups like the AJC have sold out the Jewish community by taking the side of Muslims over their Jewish victims. They have allied with Islamic hate groups supportive not of Jews, but of the murder of Jews.

And now they are screaming their heads off about Donald Trump.

Their Muslim friends, whether it's Keith Ellison or ISNA, have defended anti-Semitism and attacked the Jewish State. American Jews have a choice between trying to appease Hamas or fighting against it.

The AJC has chosen its side. It has sided with the financiers and inciters of the murder of Jews.

American Jews have a simple choice to make. They can either believe the lies or hear the truth. They can either side with their killers or resist.

The AJC has made the choice very clear and simple. It's either Hamas or Donald Trump.

Fort Pierce Islamic Islamic Center Is Terrorist Hub: Has CAIR Spokesman - Wilfredo Ruiz

Fort Pierce Islamic Center's Terror-Related Past and Present

A suicide bomber, a mass murderer, a Taliban supporter, and a Hamas-related spokesman.

July 7, 2016 By Joe Kaufman

Syed Shafeeq Ur Rahman, imam of the Islamic Center of Fort Pierce (ICFP), claims that his mosque – the same mosque where Orlando terrorist shooter Omar Mateen regularly prayed at – condemns radical Islam. But if that is so, then why, following the shooting, would the mosque retain a spokesman who is a leader from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a group that has numerous associations with the terrorist organization Hamas?

The Islamic Center of Fort Pierce or Masjid Subul-as-Salam was incorporated in September 2003. Its founder was Shafeeq Rahman. Today, Rahman is the mosque's imam and president. The mosque is a converted church, located at 1104 West Midway Road and owned by Azaan, Inc., a Florida business run by the mosque's Secretary and Treasurer, Imtiaz Jehan Khan.

Weeks ago, the mosque made the news, following the murders of 49 innocent people at Orlando's Pulse LGBT nightclub by one of the mosque's congregants. This had been the second large scale terrorist attack linked to the mosque in as many years.

The first was a suicide attack carried out in Syria by then 22-year-old Palestinian-American Moner Mohammad Abu-Salha, aka Abu Hurayra al-Amriki. Abu-Salha was a follower of deceased Muslim cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, an al-Qaeda leader who died via a US drone strike in September 2011. Abu-Salha had flown from the US to Turkey and made his way over the border into Syria, soon to join up with al-Qaeda affiliate al-Nusra Front.

In May 2014, Abu-Salha, as a member of al-Nusra, drove a massive truck bomb into a restaurant in Jabal al-Arbaeen filled with Syrian government soldiers. This was said to be the first suicide bombing performed by an American within Syria.

The second attack associated with ICFP took place on June 12th, when Omar Mir Seddique Mateen, also an admirer of al-Awlaki, entered the Pulse in Orlando and shot and killed 49 people and injured 53 more. During the attack, Mateen placed a call to 911 to claim responsibility for the attack and pledge his allegiance to the leader of ISIS. He stated, "I pledge… allegiance to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi of the Islamic State." He, as well, expressed his solidarity with those who carried out the April 2013 Boston Marathon bombing and Abu-Salha, who perpetrated the Syria suicide attack.

Both Abu-Salha and Mateen were acquaintances and members of the Fort Pierce mosque. Reports state that the two were in regular communication with one another. Although the imam Shafeeq Rahman has claimed that Mateen hardly ever came to the mosque's Friday services, Mateen was a regular attendee on Fridays. Indeed, Mateen was at the mosque with his father only two nights prior to the shooting attack.

And he was with his father just hours before the shooting.

Mateen's father, Seddique Mir Mateen, who is originally from Afghanistan, has been affiliated with ICFP since early in the mosque's history. He had been taking his son Omar there since Omar was a child. In fact, Seddiqui held the position of Vice President of ICFP from July 2006 through May 2008.

Seddique, like his late son, is a supporter of terrorists, specifically the Taliban. In a video that he uploaded to YouTube, he describes the Taliban as "warriors." He states, "Our brothers in Waziristan, our warrior brothers in [the] Taliban movement and national Afghan Taliban are rising up."

The Fort Pierce radical mosque has produced a suicide bomber, an individual who has committed the deadliest mass shooting in US history, and a Taliban supporter who was the Vice President of the mosque. It makes sense then that, following the shooting attack, ICFP would take as a spokesman for the mosque a leader of a group associated with terrorism. That's exactly what the mosque did, when it named Wilfredo Amr Ruiz, a local leader of the Hamas-related CAIR, as the mosque's new spokesman.

CAIR was established in June 1994 as part of a terrorist umbrella group headed by then-global head of Hamas, Mousa Abu Marzook. In 2007 and 2008, CAIR was named by the US Justice Department a co-conspirator for two federal trials dealing with the financing of millions of dollars to Hamas. Since its founding, a number of CAIR representatives have served jail time and/or have been deported from the United States for terrorist-related crimes. In November 2014, CAIR, itself, was designated a terrorist group by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) government.

Wilfredo Ruiz is the Communications Director and the Civil Rights Attorney for the Florida chapter of CAIR.

CAIR-Florida reflects the extremism of its parent organization. In August 2010, CAIR-Florida Executive Director Hassan Shibly, who has denied that Hezbollah is a terrorist group, wrote, "Israel and its supporters are enemies of God..." In July 2014, CAIR-Florida co-sponsored a pro-Hamas rally in Downtown Miami, where rally goers shouted, "We are Hamas" and "Let's go Hamas." Following the rally, the event organizer, Sofian Zakkout, wrote, "Thank God, every day we conquer the American Jews like our conquests over the Jews of Israel!"

Ruiz was brought in to speak out against any potential backlash that the mosque would suffer (and trot out the ‘Muslims as victims' canard), following the Orlando attack. One report quotes Ruiz as "mosque spokesman" saying the following: "This might be the main spot for a hate crime to occur in all the United States." However, retaining someone who has a terror-related background, as Ruiz does coming from CAIR, serves only to invite a backlash and criticism and reveal the mosque's affinity with radicalism.

The imam's claim that his mosque condemns radical Islam is obviously a lie designed for gullible public and media consumption. If it were true, they would have had nothing to do with CAIR or the father of Omar Mateen. How much more do we need to know about this mosque and how many further violent acts have to come from its members, before those in power do the right thing and shut it down together with CAIR?

Beila Rabinowitz, Director of Militant Islam Monitor, contributed to this report.

MIM: The news item below was placed on the AJC's website about their donation to the terrorist mosque.

As Daniel Greenfield points out Robert Silverman's claim that Jews fleeing the Inquisition "took shelter in Islamic lands" is "blatant historical revisionism" and the truth is that:

"Jews had been persecuted in Spain by Muslims, long before that. Mohammed had begun persecuting the Jews long before even that. Muslim oppression of Jews has continued for over a thousand years. Under Islamic rule Jews were exploited, oppressed, persecuted, massacred and ethnically cleansed far too many times to count. Their children were stolen, their holy places were seized and their blood was shed.

This is what Robert Silverman is thanking Islam for."

AJC Donates to Repair Florida Mosque

December 9, 2016 – New York – AJC presented a donation today to help rebuild the Islamic Center of Fort Pierce, Florida, severely damaged in an arson attack in September.

An attack on any house of worship is an affront to all Americans, regardless of their religious affiliation," said Robert Silverman, AJC Director of Muslim-Jewish Relations. "Burning a mosque is a hate crime condemned by the entire American Jewish community."

Silverman traveled to Fort Pierce to present the AJC donation to Imam Syed Shafeeq Ur Rahman, director of the Islamic Center, and also to address the congregation during Friday prayers.

"When Jews were persecuted in Europe during the time of the Inquisition centuries ago, they took shelter in Islamic lands. Welcoming those refugees was an act of kindness that will never be forgotten by the Jewish people. Today, AJC is honored to give back in a small, symbolic way," Silverman told the congregation.

A suspect has been arrested and faces charges of arson and hate-crime enhancement. Federal authorities are examining whether to file charges as well. "The perpetrator should be brought to justice as swiftly as possible and to the fullest extent of the law," Silverman said.
