Jews For Jihad: Michael Kotzin Executive VP Of Chicago Jewish Federation And Emily Soloff Of The AJC Among Jews Working Together With Islamists On Bernardin Center Advisory Board

May 27, 2015

MIM: The Bernardin Center of the Catholic Theological Union advisory board includes Islamists tied to the Muslim Brotherhood such as Safaa Zazour, president of The Council on American Islamic Relations in Chicago. CAIR is a Saudi funded front group for Hamas. Another Islamist on the board is Sayyid Sayeed Secretary General of ISNA which is the largest Saudi funded da'wa group in North America and was named as an unindicted co conspirator in the Holyland Foundation Hamas funding trial and is a wing of the Muslim Brotherhood. The Islamic Society of North America's mission is in their name, to turn North America into an Islamic Society. Other Islamists on the board include Cherif Bassiouni, Kareem Irfan, the head of the Council of Organisations of Greater Chicago and Abdul Malik Mujahid, chairman of the Council for Islamic Organisations of Greater Chicago and president of Sound Vision, an Islamist multimedia enterprise dedicated to da'wa.

Michael Kotzin of the Jewish Federation and the AJC's Emily Soloff's partnership with Islamists is nothing new and despite documented evidence of their fellow board members Islamist ties continue to work with them and have been doing so for over a decade.

In 2005 Michael Kotzin was part of a panel discussion together with CAIR president Safaa Zarzour."Speaking to a full house in the McCormick Tribune Center, Edith Blumhofer, Cardinal Francis George, Michael Kotzin and Safaa Zarzour all discussed the responsibility of the media to report the facts accurately and the ramifications of erroneous coverage and stereotyping..." http://www.cairchicago.org/newsletter/issue14.html

Kotzin's participation in the event helped provide legitimacy to Zarzour and his name was mentioned in a 2014 speaker bio for Zarzour who spoke at the MAS-ICNA conference in 2014. The Muslim American Society and Islamic Circle of North America are tied to the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda.

"Mr. Zarzour is active in interfaith circles. He is a member of the Board of Advisors of the Bernadine Center at the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago where he serves along with distinguished faith leaders from the Muslim, Jewish and Christian communities. He has participated for several years in the Mid-Atlantic Muslim-Catholic Dialogue. In 2005, Mr. Zarzour participated in a "Religion and the Press" symposium sponsored by the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University alongside Archbishop of Chicago Cardinal Francis George, Michael Kotzin, Executive Vice President of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago and professor and scholar of religion Edith Blumhofer, to discuss the responsibility of the media to report the facts accurately, regarding religion and religious communities, and the ramifications of erroneous coverage and stereotyping..." http://www.masconvention.org/safa-zarzour.html

An undated press release by the AJC announced that: "Soloff will become national Associate Director of Interreligious and Intergroup Relations. The position reflects AJC's significant commitment to advance mutual understanding among people of different faiths and ethnicities in America.

"This new position will allow AJC and Chicago to play an even more vital role in national interfaith relations," said Soloff. "Interreligious and intergroup understanding are critical to ensuring a democratic future for America and a future for Americans that is free of discrimination and bias." http://www.ajcchicago.org/site/apps/nlnet/content2.aspx?c=hgKNLQOuElH&b=847257&ct=7779277

"Why do two officials of the the American Jewish Commitee and the vice president of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago sit on the advisory board of the Catholic Theological Union's Bernardin Center together with Safaa Zazour the board president of CAIR Chicago? In 2005 Pipeline News published an article "Jews for Jihad?" and exposed the AJC's misguided interfaith efforts which included CAIR..."
