January 14, 2015 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org – Apparently never tiring of its role as defender of the indefensible, Aljazeera is today offering the risible claim that, "experts say disenfranchisement, Islamophobia make youth more susceptible to recruitment by extremist groups." Coming on the same day that Anjem Choudary [the UK imam who was arrested in a terror investigation in September and in a typical show of British spinelessness, was subsequently released] called the newest issue of Charlie Hebdo " an act of war," Aljazeera is also blaming the victims of last week's murderous jihadist attack in Paris which left 17 dead.
In a calculated incendiary action taken immediately after the massacre, Choudary issued a manifesto of sorts which is as defiant as it is revelatory of the true nature of Islam:
"Contrary to popular misconception, Islam does not mean peace but rather means submission to the commands of Allah alone. Therefore, Muslims do not believe in the concept of freedom of expression, as their speech and actions are determined by divine revelation and not based on people's desires." Aljazeera's article is more of the same, excusing the real cause - a foolish multicultural society whose moral cowardice has allowed Shari'a centric Muslim enclaves to fester into no-go zones for French law enforcement [such as it is, bicycle bound and unarmed] - and thus become domestic terror incubators.
That Aljazeera is an official jihadist mouthpiece shouldn't be surprising since the publication is owned by Qatar, a prime financier of terrorism, for example funding Syria's Al Nusra Front .
As the Gatestone Institute notes:
"Although outwardly more liberal than the Saudis, the Qataris have surpassed them as financiers of extremism and terrorism. U.S. officials reckon that Qatar has now replaced Saudi Arabia as the source of the largest private donations to the Islamic State and other al-Qaeda affiliates." [source, Dennis MacEoin, Qatar and Terror]
Understood in this way, it's easy to understand how news outlets such as Aljazeera function as a platform for stealth jihad. Why U.S. LE doesn't see it from this perspective is perhaps more troubling than the publication's content.
