Otzma Yehudit: We Are the Real Right

The Otzma Yehudit (lit. Jewish Strength) party, headed by former MK Dr. Michael Ben-Ari, held its inaugural conference in Ramat Gan on Wednesday evening, and declared, "We are the real right."
"We want Michael Ben-Ari to go to the Knesset to represent what we think," party member Baruch Marzel told Arutz Sheva.
"We think that ‘right-wing' doesn't talk about a ‘two-state solution,'" he said. "We want all of the land of Israel, we want the Torah, and we want our enemies out of here."
The party ran in the last elections under the name Otzma Leyisrael and was just 9,000 votes short of the threshold, with members of the party blaming Jewish Home for running a negative campaign against them and affecting results.
Addressing the issue of the threshold being raised since the last election, Otzma Yehudit member Attorney Itamar Ben-Gvir told Arutz Sheva, "I hope that this time there will not be campaigns of all kinds of people who harmed the real right's ability to have representation in the Knesset. I hope that we receive tens of thousands of votes that will enable us to enter to the Knesset."
In recent days there have been calls for Otzma Yehudit to unite with former Shas MK Eli Yishai's new party, Ha'am Itanu. Asked about the possibility of this happening, Ben-Gvir made clear, "Our door is open."
"Unfortunately, all kinds of people on behalf of Eli Yishai said they did not really want to see Ben-Ari on his list, I hope that's not true. I think that Eli Yishai knows our strength, that Yishai running alone will cause damage and that it is clear to him that he needs strength in the Knesset. We are happy to negotiate, our door is open, but if Eli Yishai does not want us - that is his right, of course," added Ben-Gvir.
