Why Denaturalization Is Essential: Law Enforcement Diverts Resources To Keep Tabs On 40 Returned ISIS Jihadists

40 ISIS Jihadists are Back in the USA

How many of our wayward settlers got frightened of all the shooting and how many are here on a mission from Allah?

Rep. Tim Bishop (D., N.Y.) warned during a recent speech that up to 40 radicalized U.S. citizens who have fought alongside the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL or ISIS) have already returned to the United States, where they could pose a terrorist threat.

Bishop claims that of the 100 or so Americans who have traveled to the Middle East to join ISIL's ranks, some 40 have returned and are currently being surveilled by the FBI, according to his remarks, which were filmed and uploaded to YouTube last week.

"One of the concerns is the number of U.S. citizens who have left our country to go join up with ISIS," Bishop said during the speech. "It is believed there have been some number up to 100 that have done that."

"It is also believed that some 40 of those who left this country to join up with ISIS have now returned to our country," Bishop said, eliciting shocked responses from some in the crowd.

These 40 individuals, Bishop said, "are under FBI attention and surveillance. So they are known and being tracked by the FBI."

At least until CAIR begins a campaign accusing the FBI of racism, the New York Times takes up the cause, Keith Ellison leads a rally and the whole thing is scrapped.

Not to mention the simple demands of maintaining that surveillance stretches counterterrorism resources thin.

Let's say that all 100 come back and none of them get involved in terrorism. The manpower involved in keeping tabs on them diverts resources from tracking other terrorists and makes it more likely that they'll succeed.

If a 1,000 Muslim settlers in America go to Syria and return, the amount of resources required can enable a dozen terrorist attacks to take place in the shadows. So even if the Jihadists don't do anything in America, they are still diminishing our ability to stop the next bombing spree.

The only answer is to denaturalize all Jihadists. Ted Cruz and Michele Bachmann are trying to do that over Democratic opposition.
