Dozens of armed, masked marchers participated in the 45th anniversary march of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) in Abu Dis over the weekend, Kol Yisrael radio reported Sunday.

According to the report, the uniformed marchers were masked and armed, and fired gunshots at regular intervals during the rally, which took place in a neighborhood on the outskirts of Jerusalem.

The DFLP carried out many deadly terror attacks in the 1970s and has also participated in and claimed responsibility for dozens of other terror attacks, including a suicide bombing near Tel Aviv that killed 4 people in 2003.

Recently, the terror organization has been involved in Palestinian Arab rallies against the US framework for peace talks. DFLP member Ramzi Rabah said that Kerry's repeated visits to the region, by allowing Israel to continue building communities in Judea and Samaria, impose a new status quo that is "destroying the possibility of an independent Palestinian state with its capital in Jerusalem."

In addition, teenagers associated with the group were partially responsible for a rock attack on a Jerusalem family in November which seriously injured a two year-old girl.
