Terrorists Should be Put to Death, Says Nationalist Activist

The only way to deal with terrorism is to kill terrorists, iconic nationalist activist Baruch Marzel said on Wednesday.
Speaking to Arutz Sheva, Marzel said that the terrorist who killed Evyatar Borovsky at the Tapuach Junction on Tuesday should not have even been left alive by the Border Guard officers who captured him.
"This terrorist should never even have reached the hospital," he said. "We need to educate our soldiers and police officers that the State of Israel has no interest in keeping a terrorist alive. A living terrorist is a burden – he gets medical treatment, dozens of police officers guard him, and the medical system invests in him the amounts of money it doesn't have to invest in other people."
Marzel added, "This cowardly murderer was released from prison six months ago. We should ensure they are never released. But had the Border Police taken care of him, this attack would not have happened. When I was in the army we never took prisoners. We always tried to bring the enemy to a state of a lifeless body, so that neither he nor his children will do more harm to the people of Israel."
He said that targeted killings and the death penalty is the only way deal with terrorists. "There's talk all the time, especially in Netanyahu's new government, about more deals to release terrorists, but we need to ensure that all murderers are put to death so that they cannot murder again. A low-life terrorist who left five orphans and a widow should receive only one punishment - capital punishment - and not be hospitalized."
Samaria Regional Council head Gershon Mesika criticized the Israeli government following the fatal terrorist attack Tuesday at Tapuach, saying, "This despicable murder was the direct result of inadequate action on rock-throwing terrorism, of opening the checkpoints, and of treating daily terrorist attacks as ‘disturbances.'"
On Wednesday, Mesika moved his offices to the Tapuach Junction.
He also asked Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Moshe "Bogie" Yaalon to allow the construction of a new Jewish town "as a fitting response to the increase in terrorism in Judea and Samaria."
