Washington DC, USA: Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia Chapters have a very successful campaign in Washington DC to protest against the Drone attacks.
Protest In front of White House: Pakistan Tehreek E Insaf Washington DC Metro Area Leaders Mr. Akbar Chaudhry and Mr. Iftikhar Khan spoke at the press conference in front of White House held by Anti War organization Code Pink. They strongly condemned the Drone attacks which are killing innocent civilians. They also thanked and welcomed delegates who are leaving for Pakistan to attend the Peace March to Waziristan. Dinner in Honor of American Delegates going to Pakistan: PTI hosted a dinner in honor of US citizens who are traveling to Pakistan and going to take part in the historic Peace March to Waziristan under Imran Khan's leadership. PTI Officials and members consisting of Imran Butt, Akbar Chaudhry, Muhammad Ishtiaq, Tanvier Khalid, Mazhar Chughtai, Waqar Khan, Humayun Sheikh, Yaser Buttar, Sadat Ali Rana and Johny Bashir praised and thank Code Pink an Anti War organization for doing the right thing by raising the voice against Drone Attacks in American community and showing the humanitarian and peace loving face of American People. Mr. Tighe Barry a renowned Human Right Activist associated with Code Pink thanked everyone for their support and well wishes.
Debate on Drone attacks on CCTV America: Yaser Buttar Membership Coordinator from Maryland took part in a hot debate on Drone Attacks and US war on Afghanistan on CCTV America's current affairs program "The Heat" hosted by Mike Walter. Yaser Buttar strongly disagreed with the US panelist Lisa Curtis from Heritage Foundation and gave the view point of Pakistan Tehreek E Insaf on this issue. He explained that how the US war or Terror is creating more terrorist in Pakistan by killing innocent people. He said that the only way to end the War in Afghanistan and tribal areas of Pakistan is to sit on the table with Pashtuns and find a political solution to the problem through dialogue. He shared with the audience that there have been over 300 drone attacks in Pakistan which have killed over 200 Children 1400-2500 civilians and only 40-200 terrorist. Drones violates Pakistan's Sovereignty and are terrorizing the eight million people of tribal area on daily bases and this need to stop as soon as possible.
