Iran Threatens To Deploy Naval Vessels Off US Atlantic Coast

September 28, 2011

September 28, 2011 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - In a sign of growing belligerence no doubt buoyed by a hapless US administration, yesterday, Iran's Naval Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari announced that his nation intends to deploy part of its navy just off the US Atlantic coast.

According to a statement released by Iran's state controlled PressTV Sayyari said, "Just like the global hegemony that is present near our marine borders, we … also plan to establish a strong presence near US marine borders." So far, US administration officials have not publicly responded to the threat, but the announcement coming on the heels of Team Obama's demonstration of timidity and weakness in dealing with Friday's UN vote on the establishment of a "Palestinian" state, can't be reassuring.

With Hezbollah [Iran's proxy army] cells already established from South America north to Mexico the prospect of Iranian naval vessels - possibly equipped with EMP capabilities [please see, Reza Kahlili, EMP Attack By Iran Could Destroy America] - just miles off our Eastern Coast must be unsettling even to Obama's team of amateurish appeasers.
