Poll - Most Palestinians Seek Destruction Of Israel

July 18, 2011

July 18, 2011 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - In what may come as a shock to some, a just released opinion poll shows that the overwhelming majority of the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza believe in genocide of the Jewish people.

The in-depth survey was conducted in Arabic by the Clinton administration's favorite pollster Stanley Greenberg, in conjunction with the Palestinian Center for Public Opinion. Over 1,100 people were interviewed in the process. The poll's margin of error is 3.1%.

An abstract of the study was published in the Jerusalem Post today, with the following probably being the most disturbing finding:

"When given a quote from the Hamas Charter about the need for battalions from the Arab and Islamic world to defeat the Jews, 80% agreed. Seventy-three percent agreed with a quote from the charter (and a hadith, or tradition ascribed to the prophet Muhammad) about the need to kill Jews hiding behind stones and trees..." [see, Gill Hoffman, 6 in ten Palestinians reject two state solution, Jerusalem Post, http://www.jpost.com/DiplomacyAndPolitics/Article.aspx?id=229493]

Only a third of those polled believed in some version of Washington's much vaunted "two state" solution and only 1% agreed that Jerusalem should remain the capital of Israel in any future agreement.

Some two thirds of those interviewed believe that a two state solution would only be a starting point, with the end game being the destruction of Israel, subsumed into the Palestinian entity.

The poll adds fuel to the assertion that Jew hatred is such an integral part of the Muslim world that mere diplomacy is incapable of dealing with its repercussions, thus making pursuit of the current administration's "roadmap to peace" a futile exercise in self-delusion.
