IDF General Warns of Continuing Terrorist Threat

April 18, 2011

April 18 2011- Militant Islam Monitor-Brigadier General Nitzan Alon stated in an interview with Israel National News that the threat of terrorist attacks was not over with the capture of the Fogel family murderers and that "We have not reached the ability to relax". He warned about the possibility of kidnappings and advised those who were hiking to take extra care.

The investigation into the murder of the Fogel family involved several branches of the military and that one of the killers was captured a week ago and the other two weeks later. The Israelis did not enlist the help of the PA whose officials claimed that the murderers could have been Jews or foreign workers.

According to Israel National News:

"Jewish leaders in Judea and Samaria praised the IDF for finding the terrorists but added that the murders should serve as reminders to the government of the reality of the Palestinian Authority.

"Leftists should look at the pictures of these monsters that grew out of the educational system of incitement run by our ‘peace partner.' the Palestinian Authority and its terrorists, PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas," said Gershon Mesika, chairman of the Shomron (Samaria) Regional Council.

Benny Katzover, chairman of the Samaria Residents Committee, pointed a finger at Defense Minister Ehud Barak for "taking steps to weaken the IDF's ability to prevent terrorist attack by removing checkpoints and roadblocks." http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/143631
