Terrorist Missile Attack Hits School Bus in Israel

April 7 2011- Militant Islam Monitor-A 16 year old boy has been critically injured in a missile attack on a school bus in the Negev. The driver of the bus sustained schrapnel injuries. Only two people were in the bus at the time the missile which was fired from Gaza hit. According to Israel National News:

"Although police initially identified the weapon as a medium anti-tank missile, other reports indicated that it may have been a mortar attack. A barrage of mortar shells and rockets continued to be fired at the area following the attack. One exploded next to a house in the Eshkol region. Miraculously, no one was physically injured although the house was badly damaged. At least 16 projectiles had been fired at Israel's southern region by 5:00 p.m. local time.

Residents of local Gaza Belt area communities were ordered by IDF Home Front Command to enter their bomb shelters." http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/143415

For the first time since Operation Cast Lead an IDF attack helicopter directed machine gun fire at a terrorist target east of Gaza City.

Two injured in anti-tank missile attack on school bus

An anti-tank missile fired at a clearly marked yellow school bus driving near the Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council has wounded two people. One of the wounded, a 16-year old school-boy, is in critical condition.

Two people were injured today (Thursday, 7 April 2011) by an anti-tank missile launched from the Gaza Strip at a yellow school bus near the Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council. One of the injured, a 16 year-old boy, is in critical condition. He was airlifted to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba, where he is currently being treated for severe trauma.

Israel Police have sealed off all the roads in the area due to the threat of additional rocket fire, and have requested all civilians to remain in their homes.

The IDF holds the Hamas terror organization responsible for the attack, and declared that it will not accept continued attacks on the civilian population in southern Israel
