AAH TO CALL ON CONGRESSMAN RON KLEIN TO REMOVE MUSLIM EXTREMIST FROM ANTI-SEMITISM TASK FORCE
DEMONSTRATION WILL HIGHLIGHT CONGRESSMAN KEITH ELLISON'S TIES TO TERROR-RELATED GROUPS
(Boca Raton, FL) Beginning 11:00 am, on Tuesday, October 12th, outside Lynn University in Boca Raton, Americans Against Hate (AAH) will be leading a demonstration calling on U.S. Representative Ron Klein to remove fellow Representative Keith Ellison from the Congressional Task Force on Anti-Semitism (CTFAS), a group that Klein co-chairs.
The demonstration will take place during a debate being held at the university between Representative Klein and his opponent for Congress Lt. Col. Allen West.
Up until now, Representative Klein has refused to remove Ellison.
In February 2008, Klein told a delegation from AAH, with whom he was meeting, that he (Klein) was concerned about Ellison's radical activities, which included Ellison's associations with radical Muslim groups who were connected to terrorism and who were propagating bigotry and violence. One week following the meeting, Klein said he decided against removing Ellison.
U.S. Representative Mike Pence, the other co-chair of the task force, said that he would defer his position on Ellison to Klein.
AAH Chairman Joe Kaufman stated, "Representative Klein has both the authority and the responsibility to remove Keith Ellison from the Congressional Task Force on Anti-Semitism, a group that Ellison has no business being on. We demand that he does so immediately. Every day that Ellison sits on that task force is an offense to those who fell victim to anti-Semitism and/or radical Islam."
Everyone attending the demonstration will receive a free t-shirt, button and bumper sticker (as supplies allow) telling Ron Klein to "remove Keith Ellison" from the Anti-Semitism Task Force.
