New Book Reveals Hamas Double Agent Saved Scores of Innocent Lives

February 25, 2010

February 25, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - Mosab Hassan Yousef's long journey out of the dark world of terrorism began in 1996 when he joined the Israeli Shin Bet state security organization after being jailed. In 1999 after losing his faith in Islam he converted to Christianity.

The details of that trek are set forth in Yousef's book "Son of Hamas," which will come out next week.

Yousef is the son of senior Hamas terrorist Sheikh Hassan Yousef making his rise to power in the organization less complicated than might necessarily be the case and providing the sleeper agent with sufficient information to have helped disrupt dozens of terrorist bombings.

As detailed in yesterday's edition of Haaretz [see, Adventures of the Green Prince, http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/1152398.html] Yousef excelled at his counter-spy trade noted one of his handlers at the time, "Let me tell you a story," Loai continues. "One day we received information that a suicide bomber was going to be picked up at Manara Square in Ramallah and be given an explosives belt. We didn't know his name or what he looked like - only that he was in his twenties and would be wearing a red shirt. We sent the Green Prince to the square and with his acute sense, he located the target within minutes."

With the publishing of Yousef's book some of Hamas' inner most secrets have now come to light, a boon for Western intelligence agencies and a huge blow for the most pernicious single enemy Israel must face on a daily basis.
