ANTI-HATE GROUP TO PROTEST AT LOCATION OF RADICAL MUSLIM STREET SIGN, NOON FRIDAY
BROWARD AND DAVIE IGNORE CALLS FOR SIGN'S REMOVAL, EVEN AFTER CAIR NAMED A PARTY TO THE FINANCING OF HAMAS
(Davie, FL) This Friday, February 12th at noon, Americans Against Hate (AAH) will be demonstrating against the street sign that was given to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) by Broward County and the Town of Davie. The event will take place at the location of the sign, at the southwest corner of College Avenue and Nova Drive in Davie, Florida.
Beginning in May 2007 and ending November 2008, CAIR was named by the United States Justice Department a co-conspirator for two federal trials dealing with the financing of millions of dollars to Hamas. CAIR was created in 1994 as being part of an organization whose mission was to raise funds for Hamas from American shores.
AAH has been calling for the sign to be removed for the past two months. Both Broward and Davie have refused to claim responsibility for the sign. The sign contains both the Broward County and the Town of Davie logos on it.
AAH Chairman Joe Kaufman stated: "CAIR is a front for Hamas, and the street sign given to CAIR represents the blood of so many innocents, including Americans, who perished at the hands of the terrorist group. Every day the sign remains is another day that Broward and Davie have acted in support of the enemy. Someone needs to take responsibility. The sign must come down."
Kaufman will be speaking at the demonstration.
