Taliban Offensive Continues, Indian Attack Kills At Least 10
October 10, 2009 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - A Taliban led attack on a Pak army compound in Rawalpindi has killed at least 10 people.
The group, Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan, has claimed responsibility.
The Times of India [see, http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/world/pakistan/Taliban-attack-Pakistani-army-headquarters-10-dead/articleshow/5109102.cms] is reporting that the jihadis disguised themselves in army uniforms to expedite the action.
Though the government cordoned off the area it is believed that some of the attackers escaped from the scene.
The joint Taliban offensive in Pakistan and Afghanistan over the past week takes place against an announced offensive in Pakistan's tribal area, Waziristan.
