CAIR's Dissembling In The Farahi Case

By WILLIAM MAYER and BEILA RABINOWITZ

October 7, 2009 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - In one of its most recent newsletters, CAIR [Council on American Islamic Relations, a Saudi funded terror friendly Islamist pressure group, named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the U.S. vs. Holy Land Foundation, America's most far-reaching terror funding case] via its flack Ibrahim Hooper, attempted to cast a Florida imam, Foad Farahi, as another example of the omnipresent specter of Islamophobia.

"This is becoming increasingly common," says Ibrahim Hooper, CAIR's national communications director. "Law enforcement authorities seek to use some vulnerability of the individual, whether it be business, immigration, or personal, to try to gain some sort of informant status. The issue is law enforcement's basic understanding of the community. Is it one that law enforcement needs to have blanket suspicion toward or is it... well integrated into our multi-faith nation and wants to preserve public safety as well as civil liberties?"

One of the "civil liberties," that Mr. Hooper apparently makes passing reference to is the continued "right" of Farahi to reside legally in the United States. As these authors wrote in March [see, http://www.pipelinenews.org/index.cfm?page=farahiid=5.12.09.htm]

"Radical Muslim cleric Foad Farahi is fighting deportation to Iran and trying to obtain asylum in the United States despite being designated as a Level 3 threat by DHS. He was arrested on November 26, 2007 and put in the Krome Detention Center in Florida. Farahi posted $15,000 bail and was released from Krome on December 4, 2007...Farahi is the Imam of the Shamshuddin Islamic Center in North Miami Beach...One of the directors of the Islamic center was Gulshair Shukrijumah, the father of dirty bomber wannabe Adnan Shukrijumah and an Islamist in his own right. Shukrijumah was a character witness for Clement Hampton El who was convicted of plotting a "Day of Terror" in New York in 1993 together with the Blind Sheik Umar Abdul Rahman."

Hooper's disinformation remake of Farahi, a clear national security threat, is a typical gambit in the stealth jihad of which CAIR is a significant player, trusting that most media sources will simply accept even loosely constructed fabrications from Islamist windbags rather than risk being called Islamophobic.

That Farahi should be immediately deported to Iran is axiomatic, perhaps with Hooper following in solidarity.
