TAMPA MAYOR IGNORES TERROR TIES, DECLARES "CAIR DAY"
ANTI-HATE GROUP CALLS FOR MAYOR IORIO TO RESCIND PROCLAMATION
(Tampa, FL) Citing CAIR's terrorism ties, Americans Against Hate (AAH) has created an online petition calling on Tampa Bay, Florida Mayor Pam Iorio to rescind a Proclamation she signed last Saturday declaring November 15, 2008 "CAIR Day."
AAH Chairman Joe Kaufman stated, "CAIR's ties to Hamas and other terror-related entities are well documented. Mayor Iorio, please do not ignore the facts about CAIR. We urge you to withdraw your Proclamation and to discontinue any future tributes towards CAIR."
This was at least the fourth year in a row that Mayor Iorio has issued a Proclamation for "CAIR Day."
