Shari'a Alert - Terror Linked CAIR Pressures Employer To Accommodate Muslim Women Who Refuse To Conform To Safety Regulations

May 28, 2008 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - The Council on American Islamic Relations, named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the nation's largest Hamas terror funding prosecution, is attempting to force Shari'a born Islamic dress codes down the throat of a Minnesota employer.

The case, on the surface at least, is simple; six Muslim women workers at the Mission Food plant located in St. Paul, Minnesota decided not to comply with Mission's uniform policy and as a result are not now working at the plant.

Mission has not taken disciplinary action against the six nor have the workers been fired, but as company spokesmen make clear, "Should these employees choose to adhere to the current Mission Foods uniform policy, they may return to their positions with the company. However, these positions will need to be filled as soon as possible and cannot be held indefinitely."

Mission's uniform policy was devised in order to comply with federal [OSHA] and state [MNOSHA] regulations governing worker safety.

CAIR's action in this matter reveals a methodology consistent not with assisting the rights of workers but instead of using faux labor actions to incrementally advance Shari'a into the workplace, via deception, intimidation and threat of legal action.

That CAIR has misrepresented this matter is consistent with their MO, having done so in numerous cases, including a widely publicized 2006 dispute - still simmering - between Minneapolis airport Somali taxi drivers who were refusing to carry passengers who were travelling with pets or carrying alcoholic beverages, claiming that doing so was forbidden by Shari'a.

CAIR took similar invasive action recently against Arnold Logistics a Pennsylvania firm, charging that Muslim employees were not being allowed enough time to pray during their shifts.

As we have repeatedly written, CAIR, in addition to being terror linked by the federal government, is one of the key Islamist groups operating in the United States and has taken a lead role in putting into practice the Muslim Brotherhood's plan of stealth jihad whose stated goal is, "destroying Western civilization from within...sabotaging their miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions."
