JSEXy="0">One of Iraq's members of parliament was sentenced to death in absentia by Kuwait in 1984 for terrorist activity, CNN reported Tuesday.

JSEXy="0">Jamal Jafaar Mohammed won a parliamentary seat representing an area south of Baghdad in December 2005, and is a member of the ruling Shiite Muslim coalition and the Iranian-backed paramilitary Badr Organization.

JSEXy="0">A Kuwaiti court sentenced Mohammed to death in 1984 for the December 1983 car bombings of the French and U.S. embassies that killed five people and injured 86 others.
