Rally Relocated Away from Trafalgar Square AM Press Release July 25, 2004 MIM: The United Kingdom becomes the Ummah Khalifate ... AM's 'response' to Londinistan's mayor Livingstone's warning that they would face legal persecution if they went ahead with their rally in Trafalgar Square was to issue a press release citing a change of venue due to a 'ruling' by their leader Omar Bakri. How perverse and ironic that militant Islamists who have dispatched Muslims to fight in Afghanistan, been directly linked to suicide bombers in Israel, encouraged a chemical attack on Britain, and urged flying a plane into 10 Downing Street ,now cite 'public safety ' and 'security arrangements' as the reason for the relocation of their rally. Apparently the irony is also lost on their leadership and Omar Muhammed Bakri. who state that the 'anxiety for those who may be visiting London from abroad" was a reason to cancel their venue in Trafalgar Square. Which begs the question. as to how AM can explain why any of their fellow Muslims were allowed into the UK and that they are able to stage the rally at all , if the government is really as 'oppressive' and 'anti Muslim' as they claim. ---------------------------------------------------------- "This decision (to relocate) was taken by the Judge of the Shari'ah Court of the UK and Ameer of Al-Muhajiroun: Sheikh Omar Bakri Muhammad, after consultation" The decision has been made mainly for the safety of the Muslim community and in order not to cause any extra anxiety for those who may be visiting London from abroad, bearing in mind the increasingly tense atmosphere existing regarding security arrangements." Rally for Islam IX – ' Challenging Freedom' -------------------------------- MIM: Update: According to today's newsreports the planned Al Muhajiroun rally was both cancelled and 'relocated'. Lastest news reports say that a 'quiet rally" was held in Essex but no attendance figures were given. (see below) Reports which are headlined "Muslims cancel rally " also write that the event will be held either at an "undisclosed location", or "in Essex", (a town outside of London). Depending on who is being citied the rally was cancelled for different safety reasons. AM does not allude to Mayor Livingstone's threats of legal action if the rally had gone ahead as a the cause for the sudden change of venue, AM leader Choudary claimed possible attacks by Al Qaeda, as the reason because Al Qaeda's ' 3 month truce' ,proclaiming it would not about not attack targets in Europe had expired . This of course begs the question of why he thinks Al Qaeda shy away from attacking outside of the capitol and why it would want to attack a group staging mass conversions to Islam which is part of their network. Any terrorist attack in Britain would most likely result in the arrest of AM leaders and members, The media cited fear of attacks by the facist National Front or irate Hindu's and Sikhs. Britains's Islamist friendly policies, which border on national suicide, and earned it thecapitol the name 'Londinistan', has proven to be no protection against militant Islamist agression . In the past year one police officer was killed in a raid on an apartment where ricin poison was found. Recently police uncovered a bomb plot which was intended for a stadium or shopping mall. Several members of Al Muhajiroun were arrested in the terrorism sweep which followed. AM posted a rant on their website which condemned the arrests as 'an attack against Islam'. Al Muhajiroun 'spiritual' leader Bakri's retort to London mayor Livingstone, saying "I think that he forgets who he is sometimes", proves that dhimmitude doesn't appease militant Islamists. Despite the personal letter written by Islamist London mayor Ken Livingstone to the group's 'deputy',Anjem Choudary, AM vows they will go ahead with their mass 'conversion' rally. Last week, Livingstone welcomed Qatar based cleric Yusuf Qardawi, who proclaimed that women should become suicide bombers according to Islam. While in the UK Qaradawi stated that, "If you give the Palestinians Apache helicopters they wouldn't have to blow themselves up. " Livingstone, for his part, assured Qaradawi that he was welcome anytime in the UK. The Al Muhajiroun has been "on and off " for several days so the link to the site may not be working, You can see their press releases for the rally below . The first is an "Open Invitation for Hindus and Sikhs to Embrace the Truth " The second is a warning about "The Sexual Deviancy which is Homosexuality" Besides staging mass conversion rallies. Al Muhajiroun has also vowed to thwart Israel's withdrawal from Gaza . News Reports on the planned rally and change of venue: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/3923327.stm An Islamic group has held a rally in Essex after cancelling plans to meet in London because of "security fears". "A spokesman for Al-Muhajiroun, which is alleged to have extremist views, said a "few hundred" people had turned up for the event. The group said there were security concerns over the original plan to gather in Trafalgar Square. And it said it was "prudent" not to meet in central London because of the threat of an attack by al-Qaeda. .. ..."In an audiotape broadcast by two Arabic television stations on April 15 this year, Osama bin Laden, the head of the terror group, offered a "truce" to European governments if they pulled troops from Iraq and Afghanistan. In the tape, which the CIA said it believed was genuine, Bin Laden set a three-month deadline, presumed to have expired on July 15. Mr Choudary said the spiritual leader of Al-Muhajiroun, Sheikh Omar Bakri Muhammad, had been told al Qaeda had repeated its warning of attacks He added: "We decided it would be prudent not to go into central London. "There hasn't been a specific threat, but you've got to be careful." He added: "It could be anywhere in Europe but the most likely target is Britain." But a spokeswoman for London's Metropolitan police said there was a long-standing national terrorism threat but she was not aware of any specific threat having been issued or repeated.... London - The radical Muslim group Al-Muhajiroun cancelled plans to hold an unofficial rally in London on Sunday, switching the demonstration to an undisclosed venue east of the capital over safety fears.
There were fears that Britain's extreme right-wing party, the BNP, was to have organised a rival demonstration that could have led to disturbances. Choudary meanwhile said that extremist Sikh and Hindu groups had planned also to attend the central London rally. Mayor of London Ken Livingstone had threatened to take legal action against the group if the rally, aimed at converting non-Muslims to the faith, went ahead in the favourite haunt of tourists in London. Al-Muhajiroun stirred controversy in 2003 when spokesperson Abu Omar described the suicide bombers in the September 11, 2001, attacks on the United States as "the magnificent 19". ---------------------------------------------- 9:32am (UK) Hundreds of Islamic extremists are expected to descend on Trafalgar Square tomorrow to invite non-Muslims to adopt the faith. But extreme right wing groups such as the British National Party are also expected to turn up to protest, sparking security fears. The Mayor of London, Ken Livingstone, has written to Anjem Choudary, leader of the Al-Muhajiroun in Britain, threatening prosecution if the protest goes ahead. The group were staging a press conference in London to explain why they want to go ahead with the rally. A spokesman from the Greater London Authority (GLA) said yesterday: "Al-Muhajiroun do not have permission to hold a rally on Trafalgar Square and they have not applied for permission." The spokesman went on: "Following a rally on the Square held without permission two years ago, Mr Choudary was successfully prosecuted by the Authority under the Trafalgar Square bylaws, and the mayor will take a similar approach if the bylaws are again breached." Ghayasuddin Siddiqui, leader of the Muslim Parliament, also condemned the staging of the protest, saying such rallies should be held in mosques or Islamic centres. He said: "To allow Al-Muhajiroun to use a public place like Trafalgar Square is simply unacceptable." But Al-Muhajiroun was defiant, insisting that as they were not using the Square's amenities, they had a right to be there. Omar Bakri Muhammad, founder and spiritual leader of the group, said: "The rally is going ahead as usual. We are not using furniture in the Square, we are not using their electricity or water. "If we wanted to use a platform then we would need permission, but we are taking our own banners and microphones so we do not need permission." Dismissing the GLA letter banning the protest, Mr Muhammad said: "Mr Livingstone should check the law, I think he just forgets who he is sometimes." Between 600 and 700 Al-Muhajiroun members are expected at Sunday's midday rally, but other groups such as the BNP, Sikhs and Hindus, as well as the regular tourists, could swell the numbers to as high as 10,000.

London terror conference vows to stop pullout Presents detailed outline to thwart Israel's evacuation of Gaza in 2005 Posted: July 16, 2004
By Aaron Klein © 2004 WorldNetDaily.com
A World Muslim Brotherhood conference in London this week pledged to disrupt Sharon's planned withdrawal from Gaza "by all means necessary," a member of the UK-based extremist group Al-Muhajiroun, which helped plan the conference, told WND. Members at the conference, which featured a popular Egyptian extremist cleric, and representatives of Hamas, Islamic Jihad and local Muslim groups, constructed a detailed outline to thwart Israel's evacuation of Gaza in 2005, and to stop Egypt from assuming security responsibilities in the Gaza Strip, the Muhajiroun member said
Speakers at the conference vowed open confrontation with any country that aids Israel in the withdrawal, and warned that Israel, Egypt and Jordan should brace for an onslaught of terror attacks. "The Israelis think they are going to get away with moving all their settlements from Gaza to the West Bank, and stopping the Palestinians from getting a State of their own. But all of us are not going to let that happen," said the Al-Muhajiroun member. "Egypt and Jordan are collaborating with the Zionists and have been bought out by the American government to do whatever Sharon says. They are not going to get away with this," he said. He said the conference declared that groups in the Palestinian territories should "use all means at their disposal to make sure Sharon's plan can't happen." The Muslim Brotherhood, aligned with the views of al-Qaida, is an umbrella organization founded in Egypt that encompasses various Islamic extremist factions, and maintains powerful branches in the Palestinian territories, Egypt, Jordan and Qatar. Hamas and Islamic Jihad are bound by the decisions of the Brotherhood. London has long been a hotbed of Islamic extremism. Groups like Al-Muhajiroun operate openly, and have held public rallies, drawing thousands of British Muslims, at which speakers have chanted "Death to America!" and "Kill Bush!" Al-Muhajiroun's worldwide leader, Sheikh Omar Bakri Muhammad, who has been interviewed by WorldNetDaily and is based in London, is a member of the Brotherhood's European Islamic Law Council. He has previously hosted leaders of Hamas at his London headquarters, and is suspected of ties to al-Qaida. Israeli security sources say British law enforcement authorities were aware of the conference and did not attempt to detain one of the main speakers, Yusuf al-Qaradawi, a member of the Brotherhood's Shura council, who flew in to London's Heathrow airport this week from Qatar. Al-Qaradawi has been arrested many times in several Arab countries and is not allowed to enter Egypt. The conference, which was videotaped and was held in a Muslim center that is also used as a mosque, reportedly featured signs on the walls that included "Bush is a Terrorist" and another with a Jewish star that had blood dripping from it. Al-Muhajiroun also maintains a branch in New York that holds closed-door meetings and study sessions at a mosque in Jackson Heights, Queens. The Queens branch youth leader, Abu Yousuf, a U.S. citizen who told WND he attended a "camp" in Sudan and takes computer courses at the City University of New York, speaks at universities throughout New York City at events usually sponsored by the Muslim Student Association. Al-Muhajiroiun member Muhammed Junaid Babar, a naturalized citizen from Pakistan, was recently arrested by the FBI in New York for aiding in a plot to blow up discos, restaurants and train stations in London. Babar faces 30 years to life in prison under an agreement with federal prosecutors. The plot was foiled in late March when British authorities arrested eight suspects and seized 1,000 pounds of ammonium nitrate fertilizer, which can be used to make explosives, from a storage locker near central London.

Al Muhajrioun has made no secret of being funded by Bin Laden. In a leaflet announcing a "Rally for Revival" in 1997 Bin Laden was listed by name and described as " a wealthy Saudi national". The fact that the group is still permitted to operate openly after 9/11 creates a major obstacle to the war on terror. The difficulties the US is having in obtaining the extradition of Abu Hamza Al Masri, the AM cofounder , to stand trial for involvement in attacks on US targets, hightlights the international consequences and dangers inherent in Britain's suicidal militant Islamist tolerance policy. Note the names of the groups at the bottom which are all Al Qaeda/AM linked groups . ------------------------------------- MIM: The article below details the differences between Al Muhajiroun, Hizb ut Tahrir and explains their genesis, goals and leadership. "Militant Muslims Find a Haven in Londinistan" Some say Britain overdoing tolerance--attacks feared London -- "Osama bin Laden is a good man. Osama bin Laden wants the same as me -- he wants to see the implementation of God's law," says Khalid Kelly as he sips coffee in a sun-filled London cafe and expounds on his allegiance to the man who has declared war on the West. Kelly, an Irishman, converted to Islam two years ago while imprisoned in Saudi Arabia for distilling and selling alcohol. Since then, he has become the public face of the tiny London-based organization called Al-Muhajiroun. The radical organization is led by Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammed, who has long been linked to bin Laden's International Islamic Front for Jihad Against Jews and Crusaders. The presence of militants like Bakri has earned the British capital the sobriquet "Londonistan" among diplomats and terrorism experts, who see London as a worldwide center of Islamic terrorism. "The Islamists use Britain as a propaganda base but wouldn't do anything to a country that harbors them and gives them freedom of speech," Camille Tawil, a terrorism expert at the Arabic daily Al Hayat, told the New Statesman magazine. Recently, however, British security officials have staged several high- profile crackdowns on suspected terrorists. On March 30, police netted eight suspects and more than half a ton of ammonium nitrate fertilizer, the ingredient used in the 2002 Bali nightclub explosion that killed more than 200 people. The bust came after months of bugging telephone lines and tracking suspects and following a web of leads across Europe and the Middle East, according to Peter Clarke, the deputy police commissioner who serves as Britain's anti-terrorism chief. The scheme was apparently planned abroad but was to be carried out by British citizens. "That is something that is deeply worrying to us," Clarke said. In April, 10 foreigners suspected of plotting attacks were arrested in central and northern England. Then on May 27, acting on an 11-count U.S. indictment, police arrested Abu Hamza al-Masri, the fiery former preacher at London's Finsbury Park mosque, the spiritual home of several notorious terrorists, including convicted shoe- bomber Richard Reid. Al-Masri, who lost both hands and an eye in Afghanistan, is being held in London's high-security Belmarsh prison pending extradition on charges of aiding al Qaeda, attempting to set up a terror camp in Oregon and plotting the hostage-taking of 16 tourists in Yemen in 1998. At a hearing Friday, a London court delayed a decision on his extradition until Oct. 19. But other clerics continue to take advantage of official British tolerance to openly espouse jihad and support for al Qaeda. In recent weeks, Britain has allowed visits by two high-profile Middle Eastern clerics -- Egyptian Yusuf al-Qaradawi and Sheikh Abdur-Rahman al- Sudais of Saudi Arabia -- who are known for their anti-Semitic and anti- Western views. Yusuf, who has been banned from the United States since 1999, has publicly expressed support for suicide bombers on the grounds that the "martyrdom operations" are the only available "weapons of the weak." Publicly, officials justify what the French call Britain's indulgence of militants by stating that no law is being broken. Britain does not have laws against speech that incites religious hatred. Privately, security sources say that by allowing extremist leaders to speak freely, they are able to keep them under close scrutiny. Although Britain allows incendiary speech, security sources note that it has introduced draconian anti-terrorism laws under which foreigners deemed to pose actual threats to the public can be held indefinitely without charge. Among the 14 foreigners being held under Britain's anti-terror legislation is Abu Qatada, who has been locked up in Belmarsh prison since October 2002 on suspicion of being a leading member of Al Qaeda. Syrian-born Bakri, whose group's Web site often carries statements purportedly by Osama bin Laden and advocates support for al Qaeda activities, has lived in Britain since 1985, after being deported from Saudi Arabia. Police and intelligence organizations number his adherents between 300 and 800. He has bragged about recruiting young Muslim men to fulfill "religious obligations" by doing three months "military training" in such battle zones as Afghanistan, Chechnya and the Balkans. Since the Persian Gulf War of 1991, he has named British Prime Ministers John Major and Tony Blair as "legitimate targets." Bakri claims the protection of a "covenant of security" under which he is left alone as long as he does not sanction attacks on British soil. Security forces deny that such an arrangement exists. According to Magnus Ranstrop, director of the Center for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence at St. Andrew's University in Scotland, 75 percent of the resources of Britain's domestic security agency, MI5, are concentrated on Islamist terrorism. "The threat is very real," he said. London "has the intelligence architecture because of Northern Ireland and the IRA, but the effort has been reoriented. ...We are not talking about a lot of individuals; the key is finding them." Faced with the daunting task of unraveling amorphous networks, investigators said it was now essential to probe deeply. "What has emerged is the recognition that we need to look inward at our own communities," Clarke said. Most mainstream Muslims in Britain strongly condemn Bakri's teachings. "Al-Muhajiroun are well known for their notorious antics, including publicity stunts on the 9/11 anniversary, calling it a 'towering day in history' and the perpetrators 'the magnificent 19,' " said Inayat Bunglawala, a spokesman for the Muslim Council of Britain. "They clearly set out to create a rift between the Muslim community and white society, and part of their agenda is to destabilize society." Last spring, the council contacted 1,000 mosques, urging their congregations to maintain "utmost vigilance" against hard-liners seeking to infiltrate mosques and convert vulnerable young men into fanatics. It has also urged Britain to adopt a law, similar to the one in Germany, outlawing speech that is an incitement to violence. Nevertheless, extremist proselytizers like Kelly continue to use London as their forum. "George Bush said you are with us or with the terrorists -- we have no problem being called terrorists," he says. "When you call us extremists, it's OK because we are against all the pornography, drinking, homosexuality, pedophilia out there. When you call us fundamentalists, it's OK because we stick fundamentally to our beliefs." By any measure, Kelly has executed a sharp about-turn in his life. Born Terence Kelly in south Dublin, he attended Catholic school there until age 15, when he left to work in pubs. At 23, he moved to London to train as an intensive care nurse and in 1996 took a job in Saudi Arabia, attracted by the tax-free salary. Bored, as many foreigners in strict Islamic countries are, he began distilling alcohol at home, earning up to $10,000 a month. He was caught and spent eight months in a Saudi prison, where he found Islam. "Before, I didn't know how I was supposed to feel about alcohol, about women walking in the street half-naked, about homosexuality and pedophilia, but now I know," he said. "Now, I have all the answers." Despite the support network offered by al-Muhajiroun, Kelly says he hates life in free-wheeling Britain and wants "to go to an Islamic country to live a pious Islamic life." He thinks al Qaeda's efforts to drive foreigners out of Saudi Arabia could open up new opportunities there. "It would probably be easy for me to get a job there," he said. "But I'm white, so they might kill me, too." Radical Islamists in London Muslims are the largest minority faith community in the United Kingdom, composing 3 percent of the population, or more than 1.5 million people. In London, this rises to 8.46 percent, or more than 700,000 people. Most British Muslims are moderate and disavow the small fringe who are militants. The major extremist Muslim leaders in London are: Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammed, a Saudi exile who leads Al-Muhajiroun (the Migrant's Movement), an international organization founded in the 1980s. Bakri is anti-Israel and has encouraged young followers, including converts, to join Islamic factions in regional wars in the Balkans and Chechnya, and in Afghanistan. Imram Waheed, London representative of Hizb ut-Tahrir (Islamic Liberation Party), a group led by Abdul Qadeem Zallum that claims to be nonviolent but supports suicide bombings in Israel and seeks to establish a worldwide caliphate, or Islamic regime. Sheikh Omar Mahmoud Othman abu Omar, also known as Abu Qatada, a Jordanian Palestinian granted asylum by Britain in 1993. Tried and convicted in absentia in Jordan for terrorist activities, Abu Qatada has openly called for the destruction of the United States and its Arab allies and is known as "al Qaeda's spiritual ambassador in Europe." He is being held in a British prison as a suspected terrorist but still commands a large following. Sheikh abu Hamza al-Masri, an Egyptian who lost both hands and an eye fighting in Afghanistan against the Soviets and was granted asylum in Britain in 1978. The spiritual leader of the Finsbury Park Mosque, now closed, where convicted shoe-bomber and convert Richard Reid worshiped. He is in jail facing extradition to the United States on charges of aiding al Qaeda and other militant groups. -- Lynne O'Donnell Chronicle correspondent Vivienne Walt contributed to this report.
