Abdullah al- Andalusi UK Counter Terrorism Cop Was ISIS Operative Working With Saudi Backed Muslim Debate Initiative

July 13, 2015

Extremist preacher who backed ISIS worked at the heart of a sensitive police monitoring organization, had access to counter-terrorism ops.

A British Muslim preacher who taught that Islamic State (ISIS) "despised Britain" and is "no different than Western armies" managed to infiltrate one of Britain's top counterterrorism watchdog organizations, the Telegraph revealed Sunday.

Abdullah al-Andalusi worked with the Muslim Debate Initiative, an organization heavily backed by Saudi Arabia, as he preached Muslim extremism and incited against the British government. His Facebook page included references to the Nazis; speeches of his accused the September 11, 2001 attacks of being a conspiracy to allow the US to attack Muslims and backed the spread of ISIS.

However, during his day job he used the name Mouloud Farid to work in the heart of the British police, Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary - which rules over 44 police units throughout the United Kingdom (UK).

Andalusi was promoted to a management position during his tenure at the Inspectorate and even had access to sensitive counter-terror information, according to the report.

The group has shamefacedly admitted employing the extremist after he was fired following a television appearance in which he spouted his extremist views, and added that he had passed security checks during the application process.

He handed in his resignation in July 2014, but the story has become known to British media now following calls for British organizations to root out extremism.

"Mr Farid was investigated for gross misconduct by taking part in public activity that compromised his impartial service to government, thereby breaching the Civil Service Code," the HMIC announced Sunday. "He was suspended immediately whilst investigations were ongoing."
