Islamic Relief Terrorist "Charity" Funds And Partners With UNRWA
On Thursday June 19th 2014 Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon declared that the "charity" organisation Islamic Relief Worldwide to be an illegal front for Hamas funding and banned their activities in Israel. This move has far reaching implications because IRW has been funding and working closely together with UNRWA The United Nations Relief and Works Agency as well as the UK government and consulate in Jerusalem under the direction of Consul General Alaistair McPhail who has personally engaged with IRW officials.
According to Arutz Sheva:
" Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon on Thursday signed an order declaring the Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) group illegal. Based on the order, the organization can no longer raise money or distribute money in Israel or anywhere in Judea and Samaria.
IRW, said Yaalon, is a chief fundraising front for Hamas. Posing as a "charity," the organization claims to raise money to assist refugees, orphans, and the needy, said Yaalon, but most of its money ends up in the hands of Hamas, used either to fund terror attacks or pay terrorists.
The group has offices around the world, raising money from Muslims in Western countries to fund its activities. The group's main office is in the UK. In 2006, the Israel Security Agency (ISA) and the Israel Police arrested Iyaz Ali, a Pakistani-born British national, who was an assistant director of IRW's Gaza branch. In February 2011 UNRWA inaugurated a school build by funds from Islamic Relief and announced that they plan a long partnership especially in the field of education. UNRWA schools have been exposed as a hothouse for breeding terrorists by leading counter terrorism expert David Bedein who documented his findings in a book entitled "Roadblock to Peace" How the UN Perpetrates the Arab- Israeli Conflict: UNRWA's Policies Reconsidered". The school in Askar built and funded by the terrorist "charity" Islamic Relief is but one example of how Islamist extremism is part and parcel of UNRWA's educational system.
"The United Nation Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) and Islamic Relief inaugurated today Askar Community Basic School for Boys in Askar Camp. The school was funded by Islamic Relief for US$ 1.150 million. It will enhance and improve the quality of UNRWA's education system to open better employment prospects for Palestinians in the future.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the head of Islamic Relief – West Bank Palestine, the Palestinian Prime Minister Dr Salam Fayyad, and the director of UNRWA operations in the West Bank, Barbara Shenstone, as well as number of senior UNRWA staff, representatives of the local community and school students.
Shenstone thanked Islamic Relief for its continuous and generous support to UNRWA, particularly its commitment to furthering the education of young Palestinians.

The chair of the board of trustees of Islamic Relief Worldwide is Ibrahim El Zayat a known Muslim Brotherhood operative.

As stated above Islamic Relief USA is simply the American arm of Islamic Relief Worldwide.
The Florida wing of Islamic Relief USA was headed by Ahmed Bedier the former executive director of the Tampa chapter of the Council on American Islamic Relations a Saudi funded front group for Hamas.CAIR has also cosponsored a recent 5K Run for Gaza Solidarity held by Friends of UNRWA USA.
Hatem Bazian a professor who has called for an intifada in America is a frequent speaker at their fundraisers in the United States.
At an April 10, 2004 anti-war rally in San Francisco, Bazian told the cheering crowd,
"we're sitting here and watching the world pass by, people being bombed, and it's about
time that we have an intifada in this country that change[s] fundamentally the political

On June 9th Islamic Relief Worldwide which is based in the UK issued a statement saying that they were "surprised and extremely concerned" that Israel has banned their activities in their country.
What should come as a real surprise is why it took so long for Israel to ban IRW and why the terror "charity" funneling funds to Hamas is still operating with impunity in the rest of the world with the support of governments and their officials such as in the UK. This willful blindness on the part of countries who are themselves being harmed by Islamist terrorism is a travesty and it is imperative that UNRWA to be investigated for collaborating with a designated terrorist entity.

Again, Rockets Found in UNRWA School
It looks as if UNRWA again will hand over to Hamas the rockets it found hidden in a vacant school in Gaza.

United Nations relief agency UNRWA has discovered, for a second time during the current war in Gaza, Hamas terror rockets stashed in one of its vacant schools.
A statement by UNRWA Tuesday said that "Today, in the course of the regular inspection of its premises, UNRWA discovered rockets hidden in a vacant school in the Gaza Strip."
"As soon as the rockets were discovered, UNRWA staff were withdrawn from the premises, and so we are unable to confirm the precise number of rockets," the agency went on to say. "The school is situated between two other UNRWA schools that currently each accommodate 1,500 internally displaced persons.
"UNRWA strongly and unequivocally condemns the group or groups responsible for this flagrant violation of the inviolability of its premises under international law."
The agency said it "immediately informed the relevant parties and is pursuing all possible measures for the removal of the objects in order to preserve the safety and security of the school. UNRWA will launch a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident.
"UNRWA has reinforced and continues to implement its robust procedures to maintain the neutrality of all its premises, including a strict no-weapons policy and regular inspections of its installations, to ensure they are only used for humanitarian purposes."
Canada's Foreign Minister on Tuesday called for a United Nations (UN) investigation of the discoveries of weapons caches at schools it operates in Gaza.
"I was appalled to hear reports, one as recent as today, of stockpiles of rockets in a school run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in Gaza," Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird said, according to the AFP news agency.
"Even more alarming were reports that in the first case, officials with the United Nations returned these weapons to Hamas (which Canada lists as a terrorist organization), once Israeli officials discovered their location," he said.
Baird did not specify the source of these allegations.
"Canada unequivocally calls on the United Nations to launch an immediate independent investigation to determine the facts surrounding these reports. Canada also calls on the United Nations to ensure that in the second case, no rockets are returned to Hamas," said the Canadian Foreign Minister.
"Anything less than an independent investigation would be absolutely unacceptable," he declared.
UN officials had earlier announced the discovery of weapons in a vacant school in the Gaza Strip, the second time in a week.
The UN agency for Palestinian Arab refugees UNRWA last Thursday said it had launched an investigation after finding 20 rockets hidden in another of its vacant schools in the Gaza Strip.
It condemned the incident -- the first of its kind -- as a "flagrant violation" of international law, and said the rockets had been removed and the "relative parties" informed.
However, it was later reported that rather than destroying the rockets, UNRWA workers called Hamas to come remove them.
While UNRWA confirmed the existence of rockets in one of its schools last week, the organization refused an Israeli request to provide a picture of the weapons. A picture could have helped Israel show that Hamas uses civilian institutions to store weapons and launch attacks.
Hamas has openly used human shields in its latest conflict with Israel. The terrorist group has also issued a statement urging Gaza residents to ignore IDF warnings to evacuate their homes

Islamic Relief Worldwide is surprised and extremely concerned by media reports that have appeared on June 19 2014 indicating that Israel has banned Islamic Relief Worldwide from operating in the West Bank because of alleged ties with Hamas. Dr Alastair McPhail, British Consul General to Jerusalem has visited Islamic Relief in Gaza and participated in the inauguration of the Health Professions Lab at Al-Azhar University which was co-funded by Islamic Relief and the British Consulate.
The inauguration of the lab was attended by the British Consul, Islamic Relief Country Director Muneeb Abu Ghazaleh and a number of representatives from the consulate, the university and Islamic Relief.
The project involved furnishing and rehabilitating the health professions lab at Al-Azhar College for intermediate studies including the basic needs of furniture and installations.
