Weg Mit Uns - Bitte! PM Sharon pushes "a kinder gentler" Jewish deportation from the West Bank

Arab Occupied 'Terror'tory: IDF escorts terrorists to homes in Hebron as Jewish residents are put under closure
April 6, 2005

MIM: Israeli PM Sharon assured the public that deportation of Jews from their homes in Gaza that"Israel will not tolerate the operation taking place under enemy fire" and that the graves of terrorist victims "would not be left behind in enemy territory. The only inadvertant foray into honesty was made by head of the deportations, Yonatan Bassi, who referred to a Judenrein Westbank as "enemy territory".

MIM:Political Correctness Uber Alles:

MIM: In an even more obscene move the leftwing Israeli Supreme Court showed their democratic 'impartiality" by approving the move of an Arab family into the Jewish city of Hebron. The Israeli Army was ordered to escort the terrorists, whose older family members had a role in the killing of their Jewish neighbors in the 1929 Hebron Massacre, and whose younger members had more recently, been involved with throwing grenades into a Jewish nursery school yard) to a home directly next to Jews.

PM Pushes for More Sensitive Pullout

A day after meeting Gaza settlement representatives for the first time in months, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon convened a high-level government meeting on disengagement in his office Wednesday and pushed a kinder, gentler evacuation.

Sharon reportedly opened up the discussion by saying there was a need to respect the Gush Katif settlers and allow them an honorable departure from the area.

"There is a need to enable normal life to continue until the moment of evacuation from their homes," Sharon was quoted as saying. "We must have patience. Arrests need to be the last resort, and done only if there is no other choice. It also must be made clear to the Palestinians that if there will be a terror attack, we will respond in a very harsh manner."

In addition, Sharon and Defense Minister Mofaz decided that IDF soldiers in their regular army service will have to take part in the evacuation of settlements.

Mofaz, according to Army Radio, said that in light of the reduced time frame of the plan's implementation, army troops will have to man, alongside policemen, the first line of evacuation.

Mofaz also said that the disengagement would be unilateral, although there was the possibility of coordinating different elements of it with the Palestinians.

He also added that Israel will not tolerate the operation taking place under Palestinian fire, and that there would likely be attempts by terrorist organizations to disrupt the process with terrorist attacks.

Sharon also discussed the re-internment of some 47 bodies, some of them victims of terror attacks, buried in Gush Katif. He reportedly directed the defense establishment to get the consent of each and every family before moving the bodies.

Sharon was quoted as saying there was a need to explain to the families the importance of moving the bodies, with Disengagement Authority head Yonatan Bassi saying that graves should not be left behind in enemy territory.

Mofaz said at the meeting that the evacuation was expected to take four weeks, and should be done as quickly as possible to reduce protests and friction inside Israel.

He noted that no decision has yet been made on what to do with the homes that the settlers would leave behind, while Sharon said that the synagogues would be moved back into Israel.

Mofaz's comments came a day after US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, in an AP interview, urged Israel not to engage in "wanton destruction" of the homes that will be left behind. "There needs to be some coordination on what's being done," she said, "and I think there will be."

The meeting was attended by Sharon, Mofaz, Bassi, Justice Minister Tzipi Livni and high level IDF, security and police officials, who reported on preparations for the evacuation.

Mofaz, according to his spokesman, characterized the operation as a "National objective and test of democracy and the rule of law. It is a diplomatic objective that has to be carried out with sensitivity, determination and success while maintaining the security and respecting those to be evacuated."

Mofaz presented the basic principles guiding the Defense Ministry in preparation for the evacuation. These include carrying it out in "one go," and not evacuate one area, and then have to wait a long period before moving on to the next target; do it in as short a time as possible; close off Gaza and northern Samaria to keep outsiders from coming in to try and block the withdrawal; and maintain a proportionate number of soldiers and policemen doing the actual evacuation.

The defense minister said that a number of issues have yet to be determined, including the date when Gaza and northern Samaria will be closed to anyone trying to get in from the outside, and the ratio of how many police to each soldier would be in the so-called "inner circle" pulling people away and making arrests.

Hevron´s Jews Under Closure to Allow Terrorists to Return
17:28 Apr 06, '05 / 26 Adar 5765

"A declaration of war on the Jewish Community of Hebron," said spokesman David Wilder, as hundreds of security forces descended on the city to allow a terrorist family to enter "its" home.

Wilder was referring to the army's decision to help the Sharabati family, which was involved in the massacre of 1929 against the Jews, return to a building adjacent to a Jewish neighborhood. The building was a part of the Jewish neighborhood until the Arabs massacred 67 Jews in 1929 and banished the remainder from the city for the next 40 years.

At 5:00 this morning, hundreds of Border Guard policemen, soldiers, policemen, and mounted policemen arrived in the Avraham Avinu neighborhood of Hevron, and declared the area a "closed military zone." They began towing away legally parked cars and erecting checkpoints, and are not allowing the Jewish residents out. "And all this," Wilder said, "is in order to allow the Sharabati family, members of which took part in the murder of Jews during the 1929 massacre, to rebuild their home next to our neighborhood."

Wilder said that the army is planning to build a large wall around the Arab terrorists' home, "so that we won't bother them."

A Jewish protest of sorts is underway in other parts of Jewish Hevron, "but at this point, there is little we can do," Wilder said. Some violence has been recorded, including the violent arrest of some of the residents, and two women were detained for pelting security forces with eggs and rocks. A 10-year-old boy was also arrested, and an 8-month-pregnant woman fainted and was evacuated to a hospital.

The entry of the Arab family was approved by the Supreme Court a half-year ago.

The Jewish Community of Hevron says that the house in question, which has fallen into disrepair over the years, was part of the ancient Jewish Quarter of the city. The neighborhood was looted and destroyed by Arabs during the 1929 massacre, in which 67 Jews were brutally slaughtered in their homes by their Arab neighbors.

"The Sharbati family simply took over the house after we were banished from the neighborhood in 1929," said spokesman Noam Arnon. "We have no precise maps, but this was the Jewish area."

A survivor of the massacre, Rabbi Dov Cohen, told Arutz-7 several years ago that it is "still impossible for Jews to reach certain neighborhoods where we used to live..."

The Sharbati family was distanced from the neighborhood at the beginning of the Oslo War, in late 2000, because of their involvement in terror activities against the Jews. These included scouting the Jewish neighborhood, throwing explosives into the adjacent Jewish nursery school yard, and other attempted attacks. A search of the family's home at the time turned up weapons and documents connecting them to terrorist organizations.

Wilder said that several years ago, "an 18- or 19-year-old youth of the family jumped into the Avraham Avinu courtyard with a knife, saying he wanted to kill someone. When he was arrested, he claimed he wanted to kill an Arab, so they released him to the PA police, and that was the end of the story."

"Our sources in the army say that they don't want this family back here, but because the Supreme Court ruled, they have no choice," Wilder said.
