March 29, 2012 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - According to The Egyptian Independent [source, http://www.egyptindependent.com/node/741466] Egypt's Christian Copts have fully withdrawn their support of the country's radical Muslim Brotherhood led assembly.
"State-run MENA news service reported on Thursday that the Coptic Orthodox Church withdrew its representatives from the constituent assembly that is meant to draft the new constitution. The Islamist-dominated assembly is currently facing fierce criticism..."The legislative body is led by the MB's Saad al-Katatni.
Egypt's parliamentary elections have been widely criticized as being of questionable legitimacy, with the Muslim Brotherhood exerting almost complete control over the process whereby the legislature was chosen, which is reflected in the Muslim Brotherhood's domination of the legislature.
