Muslim Burning Of Egypt's Christian Churches Continues Unabated And Unpunished - Security Forces Kill Scores Of Copts

October 10, 2011

October 10, 2011 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - If this weekend's bloody repression of a Copt demonstration in Cairo is any measure, it appears that the Islamist campaign of violence and intimidation against the country's Christians has hit full stride, with Egyptian "security" forces attacking the non-violent protesters on Sunday, killing at least 25 and injuring nearly 400. There are numerous confirmed reports that demonstrators were actually driven over by military vehicles.

The Muslim Brotherhood, in typical form, underplayed the mayhem, calling it a "small incident." [see http://www.ikhwanweb.com/iweb/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=32514:an-appeal-by-the-muslim-brotherhood-to-all-egyptians&catid=10396:mb-statements&Itemid=583] One American newspaper [the LA Times] actually had the temerity to suggest in a headline that the Copts were "lashing out" at the military. [see, http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/world_now/2011/10/egypt-coptic-church-clashes.html]

Sunday's incident had its roots in an October 1 burning of the hundred year old St. George Coptic Christian church in Aswan province by "several thousand Muslims...[who]...demolished the dome, walls and columns, then went to the church depot where the lumber to be used for construction was stored and torched it." [source, http://www.aina.org/news/20110930204413.htm] After the church burning, various Coptic business and homes were burned to the ground by the same crowd chanting "Allahu Akhbar."

As we have chronicled for years, [see, Egyptian Copts - "With Our Soul And Our Blood We Redeem The Cross" and Christians Under Genocidal Attack Throughout The Muslim World] the worldwide campaign of Muslim on Christian violence is getting worse rather than better, especially now in the Arab Middle East with the turmoil caused by Team Obama's response to the overthrow of the Mubarak government and its enthusiastic endorsement of the so-called Arab Spring. with the situation in Egypt only providing bloody punctuation to the ongoing Muslim jihad against "people of the Book."

The State Department's press release was more of the same Pabulum we have come to expect from this Islamist friendly administration, failing to clearly place the blame upon the jihadist spirit which the Tahrir Putsch enabled, "The President is deeply concerned about the violence in Egypt that has led to a tragic loss of life among demonstrators and security forces..."
