January 31 2011- Militant Islam Monitor-In an article in National Review on Line Andrew entitled "Fear the Muslim Brotherhood" Andrew McCarthy writes that the Islamist group poses a threat to everyone from the Middle East to the United States. He also concludes that the Obama administration "has courted Islamists from the start" explaining that:
" It invited the Muslim Brotherhood to the president's 2009 Cairo speech, even though the organization is officially banned in Egypt. It has rolled out the red carpet to the Brotherhood's Islamist infrastructure in the U.S. — CAIR, the Muslim American Society, the Islamic Society of North America, the Ground Zero mosque activists — even though many of them have a documented history of Hamas support… They think what Anwar Sadat thought: Hey, we can work with these guys.

The Muslim Brotherhood could use the anti American Mohammed ElBaradei as a front man in order to come to power. El Baradei the former head of the IAEA has formed his own political party and is in favor of power sharing with the Muslim Brotherhood. He is seen as a front runner for a political replacement for Hosni Mubarak.

"According to a Pew opinion survey of Egyptians from June 2010, 59 percent said they back Islamists. Only 27% said they back modernizers. Half of Egyptians support Hamas. Thirty percent support Hizbullah and 20% support al Qaida. Moreover, 95% of them would welcome Islamic influence over their politics. When this preference is translated into actual government policy, it is clear that the Islam they support is the al Qaida Salafist version.
Eighty two percent of Egyptians support executing adulterers by stoning, 77% support whipping and cutting the hands off thieves. 84% support executing any Muslim who changes his religion."
