(New York, NY) On Monday, October 25th, the Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS), located in New York City, hosted an event featuring Ingrid Mattson and Sherman "Abd al-Hakim" Jackson, two representatives from the radical Muslim group, the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA).
Mattson sits on ISNA's Executive Council as the group's immediate past National President, and Jackson is part of ISNA's "Speakers Corner" and is the former Chairman of ISNA's Islamic Teaching Center.
Prior to the JTS event, the event contact Eve Glasberg was phoned by Americans Against Hate (AAH) Chairman Joe Kaufman, who told her that he had concerns about ISNA's involvement in her event. Via e-mail, Kaufman provided Glasberg with proof of four things:
1. That ISNA is currently propagating material on its official website cursing Jews and Christians and consenting to domestic abuse against women.
2. That ISNA had recently had material on its official website calling for the murder of Jews and calling for violence against Christians.
3. That ISNA was co-founded by convicted Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorist Sami al-Arian.
4. That ISNA had recently been named by the U.S. Justice Department a party to the financing of the terrorist organization Hamas.
Glasberg said she received Kaufman's e-mail and told Kaufman that, to her knowledge, the event with ISNA was going on as planned.
She said Kaufman would be contacted by someone from JTS about his information, but as of yet, there has been no attempt at contact.
Joe Kaufman is available for interview. E-mail: [email protected].
