AKTION ALERT PARODY

CAIR ACTION ALERT # 1924

CAIR CALLS FOR K MART TO OFFER MUSLIM CLOTHING FOR SALE

CLAIMS SHOE DEPARTMENT IS ANTI-MUSLIM

National Islamic Group threatens boycott

(Washington, D.C. 3/5/04) - Two spokesmen for the Council on Anti American Islamic Radicals , Ahmed Bidet, and Perverse Ahmad, threatened a boycott of Florida K Mart stores unless they agree to sell hijabs and kufis.

CAIR also demanded that the K Mart stores appoint a Muslim salesman to monitor the shoe department and make sure that the soles of the shoes were turned downwards on the racks at all times.

"K Mart's failure to cater to the religious sensibilities of the Muslim community shows a disrespect for Islam. We are sending in CAIR representatives to give the K Mart staff sensitivity training ". Ahmed Bidet said.

Perverse Ahmad stressed that, "The shoe department is especially important as Muslims often come in and find the soles of the shoes pointing upwards. This is an insult to them and a serious violation of their civil rights".

"K Mart is also intolerant when it comes to filling the religious clothing needs of Muslims, and this situation needs to be corrected immediately. K Mart sells baseball caps for rednecks, Du -Rags for blacks, and bandanas for Hispanic gang bangers, it's time that kufis and hijabs were added for devout Muslims too".

"The Muslim community expects an apology from K Mart for this oversight and orders the store's shoe departments to connect the shoes to the shelves in the future," stated Adolf Ali, executive director of CAIR Florida.

Ahmed Bidet insisted that," K Mart employees undergo diversity training to understand the meaning of hijab and kufis for Muslims, and start selling them if they want to retain their Muslim customers". He said that negotiations were presently underway to facilitate K Mart's importation of Islamic clothing from Saudi Arabia.

A special 'Joe Boxer' edition of the Koran will be given out free with each purchase.

CAIR is America's largest Islamic uncivilized liberties group, with headquarters in Washington, D.C., and 16 regional offices nationwide and in Canada. Since its founding in 1924, CAIR has defended the uncivil and religious rights of all Muslims and infidels.

MIM: Life imitates Satire : This is actual news item from the United Muslim Association of Tampa website, extolling the fact that Target chain stores have bought clothes suitable "muhajabat". Note that Muslimahs are advised to write to the store management "to encourage" them .

Target offers Clothes for Muslims

It's not a new line of clothes specifically for muhajabat but Target has recently offered some clothes that fit the Islamic lifestyle for our Muslim sisters.

Target is currently offering stylish skirts, pants, shirts, and jackets from a variety of designers. Long slitless linen skirts are available in a variety of colors and designs for $20. The designer Mizrahi has come out with long loose wide leg linen pants for less than $25. Mossimo is offering long trenchcoats ($40) that are perfect for those sisters who want to cover their shape and keep a unique style.

Target also has long loose linen shirts that cover down to hips, for those looking to avoid the "midriff madness." All of these clothes are found in the women's section of the clothes department (walk in straight on the left about halfway for the Tampa USF Target).

We should express our support for clothes like these in order to encourage them to continue these "muhajabat friendly" designs, so please make a point to visit the store and check the clothes. Also, if you have time, send a compliment to the corporate offices. As a note, these clothes are not found online, so you have to visit the store.
