King Hearings Gain Support - Sunday NY Rally Planned

March 2, 2011

March 2, 2011 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - This Sunday, a citizen-led coalition of national security conscious organizations will be conducting a rally in support of Rep. Peter King's upcoming hearings on the troubling rise in domestic Islamic radicalism.

Many groups have joined together in this effort to inform the public about the threat posed by the spread of Islamism in the United States.

Sponsored by Liberty Rocks, the gathering will include [but is not limited to] members of the: Coalition to Honor Ground Zero, Liberty Rocks, Human Rights Coalition Against Radical Islam, 9/11 Families for a Secure America, Sudan Freedom Walk, American Maronite Union, Indian American Intellectuals Forum, www.SecureAmericaNow.org, Alliance for Iranian Women, Americans for Peace and Tolerance, Center for Policy Research in American Education, Women United International and the Alliance for Interfaith Resistance.

Event organizers say they stand alongside the majority of Americans, "who are concerned about our national security," and support King's planned investigation.

Additionally they believe that, rather than denying the civil rights of Muslims, which is not Mr. King's intent, the Congressman's inquiry, represents an honest attempt to protect "the civil and human rights of Americans of all faiths."

Supporters are however quick to add that they don't, "want to live under Shariah, Islamic law." They stress that, "America is not, as Imam Rauf," [the kingpin behind the effort to build the 9/11 mosque] "has claimed, 'Shariah Compliant!'"

The event, entitled, Stand With Us For Homeland Security & Our Rights, is scheduled for Sunday, March 6, 1:30 p.m., 38th Street and 7th Avenue NYC.
