Shireen Qudosi: Head Of Clarion Project's Preventing Violent Extremism Education Program: 'I Identify With Malcolm X'

February 12, 2020

Shireen Qudosi self proclaimed Muslim "Reformer" and head of education for the Clarion Project's PVE program identifies with violent extremist Malcolm X! The PVE is a Clarion funded freak show and farce which includes "ex" ISIS Burqa Bitch Tanya Joya and "ex" Skinhead Frankie Meeink among others which purports to 'prevent radicalisation' which never goes near a mosque or Islamic institution to deliver their message.

"I am for violence if non-violence means we continue postponing a solution to the American black man's problem just to avoid violence."

@ShireenQudosi

Not gonna lie, I identify a hell of a lot more with Malcolm X than I do with MLK. And I think of lot of other people do too, it's just not popular to say it.

MIM: Malcolm X's urging to "swing up on some freedom" was a reference to black boxer Muhammad Ali aka Cassius Clay who used his fists to obtain profit and world wide fame.

"This afternoon we want to talk about the ballot or the bullet. The ballot or the bullet explains itself...

...You can't sing up on freedom. But you can swing up on some freedom. [cheering]Cassius Clay can sing. But singing didn't help him to become the heavyweight champion of the world. Swinging helped him. [applause]"

Agreed, and we'll never know what could have been. Same — I saw a lot of my own story and a shared spirit.

"...But Malcolm X was anything but mainstream and the passage of a half century should not soften attitudes toward him. To the end, he remained a radical, polarizing, bigoted figure, Martin Luther King's evil Doppelgänger. To support this description, recall two notorious statements. The first dates from Dec. 1, 1963, shortly after the assassination of John F. Kennedy, when Malcolm X responded with the comment that, "Being an old farm boy myself, chickens coming home to roost never did make me sad; they've always made me glad."

The second came in the course of a meeting with the Ku Klux Klan (itself a insight into his extremism) intended to win white racist support for the NoI black separatism project. According to a FBI report, Malcolm X assured the Klansmen that Jews were behind the integration movement they both despised. Joshua Muravchik concludes from this incident that Malcolm X "was a vociferous anti-Semite in both public and in private."

Malcolm X should accurately be remembered as the extremist he was. (February 21, 2015)

When Malcolm X Met the Nazis

A look at the strange alliance between the Nation of Islam and the American Nazi Party.

Remarkably, the NOI had a history of such partnerships. Six months earlier, Muhammad had sent Malcolm X to a top-secret meeting with the Atlanta Ku Klux Klan. In a throwback to Marcus Garvey's 1922 Klan summit, the two groups brokered a bizarre truce: local mosque safety in return for NOI support on racial separation.

Outreach Effort Launches in 21 Cities to Prevent Violent Extremism

Communities Impacted by Terrorism and Hate Crimes Prioritized

Public Education Campaign Features Free Training Program and PSA of Mother Who Lost Her Son to Extremism

Clarion Project

WASHINGTON, Nov. 11, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Human rights organization, Clarion Project, will launch a national, public education, outreach campaign across the country this coming Monday to combat the rise of hate crimes and reduce the threat of homegrown terrorism. Clarion Project will work with the local community to train leaders in identifying and addressing risk factors. Clarion Project also provides schools a series of workshops that offer a positive counter-message for youth against the lure of extremist ideologies.

Prevent Violent Extremism

The effort named Preventing Violent Extremism (PVE) is modeled after the group's successful efforts in Austin, TXand Minneapolis, MN and features a training program for parents, teachers, local officials and law enforcement.

The PVE training emphasizes the fact that radicalization can affect all children at any age. A child can be radicalized by gangs, race supremacists, religious extremists and social militarization.

"Over the last 30 to 40 years, extremism patterns in the United States have shifted between ideologies. Since 2010, we've seen ideologies surfacing simultaneously with increased lethality, while forecasts over the next 10-20 years present a frightening scenario driven by increased levels of dehumanization and polarization," says Shireen Qudosi, Director of PVE Education.

"This is the world our kids are living in today. Every parent, every educator, and community leader deserve to be prepared. Every child deserves to be protected. On November 20, 1989, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child reinforced the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by recognizing that childhood is entitled to special care. It's time we fulfilled that duty to our children."

The training follows a three-stage strategy:

The effort also features a 90 second PSA featuring the heartbreaking story of Christianne Boudreau, whose son was recruited online by radical Islamist extremists, ran away, and later died fighting in Syria with ISIS.

MIM: Trevor FitzGibbon of FitzGibbon Media an uber left propagandist whose clients included the terror tied Islamic Relief organisation was behind the press release put out by the Clarion Project announcing the launch of their Preventing Violent Extremism program.

"FitzGibbon Media was a high-powered left-of-center PR firm working for major liberal clients like MoveOn.org and Planned Parenthood founded by Trevor FitzGibbon. Trevor FitzGibbon was a former state-level communications director for President Barack Obama's 2008 campaign.[1]

FitzGibbon Media was quickly shuttered in 2015 after FitzGibbon Media staffers accused Trevor FitzGibbon of multiple allegations of sexual harassment and sexual assault.[2] The U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia elected not to file charges against Trevor FitzGibbon, who went on to found a new PR firm called Mission Critical Media and a group called Defend our Daughters ostensibly intended to defend the "vulnerable in the workplace."[3]

Work, Clients, and Projects

FitzGibbon gained a national reputation as then-candidate Barack Obama's New Mexico communications director during the 2008 Presidential campaign.[4] Before then, he had worked at Fenton Communications, a liberal public relations firm with offices in Washington, DC, New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco with clients across the left-of-center world including the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) to MoveOn.org to theTransgender Law Center.[5]

His first client after joining Fenton around 2002 was MoveOn.org. FitzGibbon's initial advertising campaign began being as an ad in the New York Times and eventually ballooned into a television commercial after his success in raising small donations online.[6] Fenton Communications stated that "FitzGibbon's messaging and PR efforts on behalf of MoveOn.org have helped position the online advocacy group as a national political force in American life."[7]

After leaving Fenton Communications in 2008 and working on the Obama campaign, FitzGibbon founded FitzGibbon Media. The company quickly established itself as the go to public relations firm for the progressive movement, signing major clients from MoveOn.Org to Planned Parenthood[8] to the embassy of the repressive socialist Venezuelan regime of Nicolas Maduro.[9]

FitzGibbon Media enjoyed an impressive reputation in the progressive world, with one commentator suggesting the firm received the "first call whenever a huge progressive moment [was] about to happen anywhere in the country."[10]

Before being taken down, the firm's website claimed that "FitzGibbon strategists can transform a client's news into a story on the front page of Huffington Post, book your principals on MSNBC, and schedule interviews on NPR." In 2013, then-CEO of FitzGibbon client Rebuild the Dream Natali Foster said, "the FitzGibbon Media team has a rare knack for spotting what's newsworthy, and the amazing relationships to help it get into stories and on the air."[11]

The firm ran the social media account of convicted WikiLeaks collaborator Chelsea (née Bradley) Manning while Manning served prison time, typing out posts dictated by the convicted spy via telephone while reporting responses back. FitzGibbon Media also worked with WikiLeaks to arrange public defense of Edward Snowden when he was hiding in Hong Kong.[12]

By 2015, FitzGibbon's company employed 30 people with offices in London, New York, San Francisco, and Washington.[13]

Below is a list of major FitzGibbon Media clients:[14]

FitzGibbon also represented Amnesty International,[15] the Center for American Progress, NARAL (formerly the National Abortion Rights Action League), UltraViolet, and the Venezuelan government.[16]

Sexual Harassment Controversy and Closure

FitzGibbon Media's swift decline began in December 2015 when an avalanche of accusations of sexual harassment and assault against the company's president, Trevor Fitzgibbon, quickly forced the progressive public relations firm to close up shop. Sierra Pedraja, now an editor for Detroit's NBC affiliate,[17] was searching for a full-time job when a friend working at FitzGibbon media introduced her to the company's president, Trevor FitzGibbon. Pedraja was then invited to a social gathering with the team that evening in a hotel lobby, where FitzGibbon allegedly commented on Pedraja's beauty and asked her if she wanted to have any "fun" while he was in Austin.[18]

According to Pedraja, FitzGibbon then asked her if she wanted to meet alone at the hotel, which she declined. After the retreat, FitzGibbon allegedly contacted Pedraha requesting "maxim" style photos, which Pedraja also declined to send.[19]

Pedraja relayed her story to FitzGibbon Media employees, which caused other women to recall similar experiences where FitzGibbon had invited them to his hotel room, requested pictures, and asked for hugs. Another woman reported that FitzGibbon had once groped her breast while she was on a business call.[20]

FitzGibbon even allegedly behaved inappropriately with clients, including allegedly contacting an employee of MoveOn.org to ask her if she was married or had a boyfriend, or to request her to send him pictures.[21]

FitzGibbon had previously faced several accusations of sexual harassment while working for Fenton Communications. The firm retained Fenton for several more years, keeping him "closely monitored," according to reports. Then-CEO of Fenton Communications Bill Werde said that there were "no other complaints brought to the company's attention" for the rest of FitzGibbon's tenure, which ended in 2008.[22]

The torrent of accusations in 2015 culminated in the reporting of "over a half dozen incidents of sexual harassment and at least two involving sexual assault committed by Trevor FitzGibbon against his own employees" according to a statement issued at the time by FitzGibbon Media employees.[23]

FitzGibbon responded claiming that "the allegations against me are a distraction to the mission at hand" and that because of an "irreconcilable difference has arisen between the FitzGibbon team and me…we had no choice but to make the difficult decision to close FitzGibbon Media."[24]

The company determined they could not continue without revenue generated by Trevor FitzGibbon personally, and, after formally taking a leave of absence on a Monday, December 14, the firm closed on Thursday, December 17. The entire staff was laid off without bonuses or severance, receiving paycheck only until the end of the year.[25]

No criminal charges or civil complaints were filed against FitzGibbon or the firm.

FitzGibbon's Latest Projects

After the charges were dropped and in an apparent effort to publicly clear his name, FitzGibbon announced two new ventures, Mission Critical Media, a new PR firm, and Dignity for our Daughters, an organization created to advocate for the "vulnerable in the workplace" and create a "culture where women can flourish both in and out of the workplace."[26]

A former FitzGibbon Media client, the left-wing feminist organization UltraViolet, issued a press release listing 72 liberal organizations that pledged not to work with Trevor FitzGibbon or to "financially support his new firm, Mission Critical Media."[27] Signatories included:[28]

Carl Goldberg Calls PVE Program A Farce: "Clarion Needs To Deal With The Koran & Sunnah"
November 12, 2019

MIM: Below is Islam expert Carl Goldberg's letter to the contact person on the press release announcing the Clarion Project's "Outreach Effort Launches In 21 Cities To Prevent Violent Extremism" lead By Shireen Qudosi.

For more on drug addled Shireen "I don't want to be called a Muslim" Qudosi see:

"Clarion Projects Muslim "Deformer" Shireen Qudosi Lies About Islam To Jewish Donors"

https://www.militantislammonitor.org/article/id/7719

############################################

Trevor,

I hate to throw cold water on your PVE project, but it is a total waste of time and money. This is especially so if you put Shireen Qudosi in charge of it. She has no idea what causes Islamic radicalization because she has no idea about Islam.

Simply put, Islamic radicalization takes place when a Moslem starts reading the Koran and finds out what his god really wants him to do. At that point, the Moslem is faced with a moral choice: Either to deliberately ignore the jihadist commands in the Koran, or to follow them. Shireen Qudosi will never tell you that. She wants you to think that Islam is basically just fine and that the "radicals" are misinterpreting the Koran and the Sunnah. In fact, the radicals are following it, not misinterpreting it.

Clarion Project needs to deal with the Koran and the Sunnah instead of going along with phonies like Shireen Qudosi, Zuhdi Jasser, Raheel Raza and other nice moderate Moslems who do not follow Islam but who pretend that they do. They, with your help, are misleading the public about the threat from Islam, itself, as taught in all the mosques. They are "moderate Moslems" precisely because they do not follow Islam as set forth in the Koran and the Sunnah.

There is no such thing as "moderate Islam". As Turkish president Erdogan famously said, "Islam cannot be classified as moderate or not," ... "These descriptions are very ugly, it is offensive and an insult to our religion. There is no moderate or immoderate Islam. Islam is Islam and that's it."

Clarion needs to take this seriously and stop pretending that "moderate Moslems" indicate the existence of a moderate Islam, or that they can have any influence on the Moslem community.

Tania Joya

"Maybe if all the Palestinians convert to Judaism, maybe there'll be peace. That's my solution to the Palestinian-Israeli problem."

MIM: "Ex" ISIS Burqa Bitch Tania Joya who was married to the American fuhrer of ISIS, John Georgelas aka Yahya al- Bahrumi (who served 3 years in jail for hacking AIPAC's computers pre ISIS) had four of his children and stayed with him and the group for 10 years, has made a lucrative career of claiming to denounce extremism. Not the sharpest scimitar in the drawer she thinks reform Judaism is authentic and that there will be peace in the Middle East if all the "Palestinians" converted to Judaism!

Excerpts from "The Former First Lady Of ISIS Now Loves Reform Jews,Plans To Visit Jerusalem"

"...The new Joya is involved in a US anti-extremism initiative called Parents for Peace, gives talks on de-radicalization, and is planning a book — a memoir, she says, with a message "for people who want to understand the mindset or the emotions, and the push and pull factors, of what draws people into extremism and what life is like..."

"...The Atlantic piece on her husband, which appeared in the March 2017 print edition and online a few weeks earlier, noted that Joya "has left jihadism, but she cannot completely leave Yahya. On social media," the article noted, without specifying the date, "she wrote to a relative of her husband's: … 'We made some really poor choices that backfired on us… I'm somewhat jealous of the love and devotion he has for Islam over me.'"

"Stressed Wood: "She never, in my conversations with her, advocated violence or seriously regretted leaving John at the Syrian border. And yet there are signs — not of violence, but of a permanent effect of her jihadist brainwashing… She never said she wished to return to Syria, but she did lament that so many of the Islamic State's followers are being bombed 'just because they just want to live under a caliphate.' Lines like these come out after hours of perfectly normal conversation."

"...The promo for the film — which is entitled The 'First Lady of ISIS' — notes, "Together, they traveled the globe, befriending jihadis and grooming their children to become 'assassins.' But after ten years of living on the run, Tania began to fear for her family's safety."...

"...And then there's her burgeoning connection to Dallas's Temple Shalom. "I really like Reform Jews. I love them a lot," she says. This all started when she did a speaking event at the Texas Monthly, and a lady named Jerri Grunewald from that congregation attended. They got talking and "she asked me if I'd like to get involved with interfaith work, which I told her I loved doing. We just built up a friendship from there."

Next week, this relationship will see Joya invited as the featured speaker of the 16th annual "Intra-Faith Sisterhood Brunch" at the Temple, advertised as being dedicated this year to the theme of "Escape and Triumph."...

MIM: Excerpts from a France 24 News article entitled: "Ex Jihadist Tania Joya Now Fights To 'Reprogram' Extremists"

"...Joya has campaigned for the return of Shamima Begum, who joined the jihadist group when she was just 15 but now wants to return home to Britain. However Begum's lack of remorse has turned public opinion against her, and the British government stripped her of her citizenship in February..."

"...Countries with jihadists stranded in refugee camps "are responsible for these individuals," said Joya. "We can't just push them off to the Middle East, to the Kurdish people... the abuses they're facing in these camps are only confirming their beliefs of radicalization."...

"...Joya is participating in the Preventing Violent Extremism (PVE) program organized by the Clarion Program, a US non-profit dedicated to educating people "about the growing phenomenon of Islamic extremism," according to its website."...

The PVE program provides "communication models" that offer "workshops for youth so that before a child is even indoctrinated or introduced to radical ideologies, they've really been inoculated" against religious and ideological extremism, said national program coordinator Shireen Qudosi.
