Three Israelis were murdered on Friday evening in a stabbing attack in the Shomron (Samaria) community of Halamish, located to the north of Ramallah.

A terrorist broke into a home in the community as the residents were in the middle of their Shabbat dinner, celebrating a Shalom Zachor, the traditional Friday night festive gathering on the birth of a son,, stabbing four people. Two men, one in his 40s and one in his 70s, and a woman in her late 30s, suffered critical injuries and were later pronounced dead.

A 68-year-old woman suffered moderate-to-serious injuries in the attack and was evacuated by Magen David Adom paramedics to the Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem.

The wife of the murdered son managed to hide the family's five children, lock the door to the room and call police.

The terrorist, identified as 19-year-old Omar al-Abed from the nearby Palestinian Arab village of Kaubar, admitted that he purchased a knife on Friday with the express purpose of using it to murder Jews, egged on by the incitement from the imams on the Temple Mount. He was shot by a neighbor who serves in an IDF combat unit and was home on leave. The neighbor heard the screams coming from the house, came running with his weapon and shot the terrorist, woundiing him seriously.

IDF troops are conducting searches in and around the community and checking whether other terrorists were involved.

Magen David Adom paramedic Ehud Amiton, who was at the scene, said, "When we entered the house, we saw four people with stab wounds. Three of the wounded were unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing. We gave them medical treatment that included dressing the wounds and stopping the bleeding, and carried out advanced and prolonged resuscitation operations."

"Another 60-year-old woman who was conscious and suffered from stab wounds to her upper body was treated at the scene and evacuated to the Shaare Zedek Hospital in moderate-to-serious condition," he added.

'I lost my sense of time, but didn't let go of the doorknob'

Wife of Elad Salomon describes Halamish terror attack: 'I took the children and ran upstairs. I held the door with all my strength.'

Tal Polon, כ"ט בתמוז תשע"ז, 7/23/2017

Michal Salomon, the wife of Elad Salomon, one of those murdered in the horrific terror attack in Neve Tzuf (Halamish) on Friday night, recounted the terrifying moments when her husband, his sister Haya, and their father, Yosef, were murdered.

Michal and Elad had come with their 5 children to Neve Tzuf to spend Shabbat (the Sabbath) with Elad's parents, Tova and Yosef, who were celebrating the birth of a new grandson with family and friends from the community.

While most of the people remained in the kitchen at the end of the Shabbat meal, Michal had moved to the living room to prepare for the "Shalom Zachor" celebration in honor of the birth of the newest grandson.

Michal related in an interview with Yediot Aharonot: "I saw the profile of a person ploughing towards the kitchen. The terrorist, apparently, saw them through the window and entered the house. He didn't see me, and came directly at them. I heard him ask them in Arabic: ‘What's your name?' and I immediately understood that something wasn't right. That something bad was happening."

"I immediately took the 3 kids upstairs, where [the two youngest children] the twins were sleeping. It was important that I, first of all, protect the children no matter what. I started to hear shouts and screams. I held the door with all of my strength, because it wasn't locked. I lost my sense of time, but I didn't let go of the doorknob.

"I called the Police and told them what was happening as my children surrounded me. I heard terrible screams and shots, and after a period which seemed endless, I understood that it was over. I came downstairs and saw Elad. I understood that my husband was no longer alive."

Yosef (71), Haya (46), and Elad (36) Salomon are to be laid to rest today at the Modiin Cemetery at 5:30 pm.

'She saw her husband's body on the floor'

Father of woman who survived brutal terror attack: 'They threatened her life and the lives of her children.'

Arutz Sheva Staff, כ"ט בתמוז תשע"ז, 7/23/2017

Yosef Salomon and his children, Haya and Elad, were laid to rest in the Modiin cemeterySunday afternoon. They were murdered in a barbaric terrorist attack as they sat down for Shabbat dinner in the Samaria town of Halamish Friday night.

Elad's wife, Michal, hid with her five children in one of the rooms on the top floor of the house, preventing the terrorist from finding them and massacring the children along with the other members of the family.

"Michal suffered a very serious trauma," her father, Dan Landa, told Channel 10.

"They threatened her life and the lives of her children. And she is also traumatized from hearing the cries of agony from her family as they were being slaughtered with knives and from the understanding that her beloved husband is gone.

"The way she reacted during those fateful minutes stuns me every time I think about it. She was in an ideal family situation, sitting relaxed and happy at a family event, when a man dressed in fine Shabbat clothes comes in - seemingly to celebrate with them, and in an instant she recognized that this was a terrorist who was there to kill," Landa said.

"She immediately told the children to be quiet and took them [upstairs]. She said that she ran, but it wasn't to the street. She had to go behind the terrorist's back to get to the stairs. She went into the room where the two other children were. She has five children, the two who were sleeping and the three who were with her downstairs.

Landa also said that Elad defended his wife and children from the terrorist and that he died buying them time to get upstairs.

He added that when the attack was over Michal led the children out of the house. She had the children cover their eyes so they would not see the carnage the terrorist left in his wake. "She herself saw the house full of blood. She saw her husband lying on the floor, completely perforated."

Thousands attend funerals of victims of Halamish massacre

Three members of Salomon family brought to Modiin cemetery Sunday, less than 48 hours after Friday night massacre in Halamish.

Yoni Kempinski, כ"ט בתמוז תשע"ז, 7/23/2017

Thousands of people came to the Modiin cemetery Sunday afternoon to pay their last respects to the three members of the Salomon family who were murdered by an Arab terrorist Friday night in the town of Halamish (Neve Tzuf) in western Samaria.

The victims included Yosef Salomon, 70, his daughter, Haya, 46, and his son Elad, 35. The family had gathered in Halamish to celebrate the birth of a new grandchild, when an Arab terrorist broke into the house and stabbed four members of the Salomon family, leaving three dead and one wounded.

Elad Salomon, a resident of the town of Elad in central Israel, is survived by his wife and five children. His sister, Haya, had been a teacher in a state national-religious school in Lod. Just last week, she was recognized as "The Most Outstanding Teacher in Lod".

Elad Mayor Yisrael Porush, who eulogized the victims during the memorial service, described how Elad Salomon's wife hid her children in a room upstairs while the Arab terrorist carried out his murderous rampage.

"What can you say to a mother who defended her children while the angel of death rampaged on the floor below? How can you console five children who are now left as orphans?"

After the terrorist broke into the Salomon family house and began stabbing her husband, father-in-law, and sister-in-law, Elad's wife Michal rushed her children upstairs and hid them in a bedroom. Since the door didn't have a lock, Michal was forced to hold the doorknob and press against the door to hold it shut, in case the terrorist tried to break in.

"Palestinian" Muslim murderer's Facebook last words: "Allah will take revenge on you and will make it count"

From Jihad Watch via The Religion Of Peace:

"....It took only 15 minutes from the moment Omar Al-Abed jumped the fence of the West Bank settlement of Halamish on Friday to the moment he was neutralized by an off-duty soldier, IDF Spokesman Brigadier General Ronen Manelis said on Saturday.

"It was a horrific, murderous, attack. The house was full of blood," said Manelis, who added that the photographs showing the aftermath of the deadly terror attack in Halamish don't show the entire picture.

Manelis, who visited Saturday the house that became a horrific scene of bloodshed along with IDf Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Gadi Eisenkot and Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman, said that terrorist Ombar al-Abed (19) admitted to carrying out the attack because of the recent tensions surrounding the Temple Mount….

According to Manelis, al-Abed published a Facebook post where stated that he was expecting to die just before he left his West Bank village to carry out the attack in Halamish. Carrying a backpack with a Quran, wallet and bottle of water, al-Abed jumped the fence and arrived at the family's home which was close to the entrance of the settlement.

When he arrived he is believed to have purified himself with the bottle of water before stabbing to death a grandfather and his two adult children….http://m.jpost.com/Arab-Israeli-Conflict/It-took-under-15-minutes-for-Halamish-attacker-to-jump-the-fence-carry-out-attack-500425
