Major suicide bomber attacks thwarted in Israel - prisoner release continues

MIM: The Islamic Association of Palestine/Hamas, is alive and well in the United States, and the spectre of suicide bombings should be taken seriously . The head of the the IAP, Rafiq Jaber, is the spokesman for the Bridgeview Mosque Foundation in Illinois. Jaber is also the co founder of CAIR, a Saudi funded front group for Hamas, which presents itself as a Muslim civil rights group . The IAP website 'dissapeared' from the internet shortly after the organisation was named together with several Chicago Muslim institutions, was ordered to pay the parents of 17 year old American David Boim, who was murdered in a driveby shooting by Hamas .The groups were ordered to pay $156 million dollars. http://www.militantislammonitor.org/article/id/341
The recent arrest of Rafiq Sabir a member of the Islamic Center of Boca Raton, has brought to light new questions about the mosque ties to Hamas via the former Imam, Ibrahim Dremali, who was involved with a 'charity' called Health Resource Center Palestine,which funneled money to his brother in Gaza and openly solicited funds for the IAP.
Dremali was also an advisor to the American Muslim Association of North America, located in North Miami Beach, Florida, whose director,Sofian Abdelaziz Zakkout, was the vice president of the HRCP.His website www.al-amana.org used to link to Palestine info/Hamas, but the names and link were removed when the website came under media scrutiny after 9/11.
The Holyland Foundation and other Hamas linked 'charities' such as the Holyland Foundation (which was closed down for terrorism funding and seen it's leaders arrested), had fundraising headquarters in Florida. Many of the Imams and mosques which gave money to these groups continue to support and fund organisations which are presently under investigation by a Senate Finance Committee for ties to terrorism funding. http://www.militantislammonitor.org/article/id/587

The Islamic Association of Palestine is the American wing of Hamas. Rafiq Jaber, the IAP spokesman (and co founder of CAIR ) lives in Chicago and runs a Financial Services Company, which begs the obvious question as to whose finances he is servicing.

Hamas threatens suicide attacks in U.K.
Warning follows leader's call for attacks against U.K. targets; however, fundraising successes may dampen interest in high-profile attacks

JERUSALEM - Hamas has several cells inside the United Kingdom and is capable of attacking the country, a senior Israeli security official told World Net Daily.
The official spoke in response to a sermon, broadcast live on Palestinian television earlier this month, in which a cleric associated with Hamas threatened terror attacks against Britain.
Sheikh Ibrahim Mudeiras, a popular Palestinian Islamic leader, said in a live sermon broadcast May 13: "We take this opportunity to hold Britain accountable and say there is revenge we can never forget. We cannot forgo the revenge we want to exact from Britain. We hold Britain responsible for what happened in Palestine. Britain is the cause, 'til this very minute, of every drop of blood dripping into this land." Mudeiras, who was lamenting Israeli Independence Day celebrations, continued: "I say to you: You must look at our situation with an outlook of confidence in Allah's victory! If you help Allah (spread Islam), Allah will bring you victory. We once ruled the world and the day will come when, by God, we will rule the entire world. The day will come when we will rule the United States, the day will come when we will rule Britain, we will rule the whole world (and all will live in peace and comfort under our rule) except the Jews." Palestinian television regularly broadcasts hour-long speeches by Mudeiras, who usually laces his sermons with anti-Israel and anti-American invectives. But the speech, lashing out against Britain and threatening attacks against the country, was unusual, say media monitors.Britain occupied Palestine until Israel was created in 1948, and was largely responsible for the League of Nations Mandate, which called for the establishment of a "Jewish national home" in what eventually became the Jewish State.
Hamas agents in U.K.
A senior Israeli security official told WND Hamas is in a position to attack Britain. "Hamas has many agents in Britain, some of them not hidden. They are well-established there, and could carry out sophisticated and well-coordinated terror attacks if they wanted to," said the official. There has been growing evidence the past few years of Hamas' infiltration of the U.K. Britain's "Sunday Times" reported in February Mohammed Kassem Sawalha, a Muslim leader appointed to help to run a major mosque in north London, is a former Hamas military commander. Sawalha, who arrived in Britain 15 years ago, told the "Times" he still supported Hamas. Mohammed Hanif and Omar Sharif, the two suicide bombers who blew up Mike's Place pub in Tel Aviv in 2003, were British citizens recruited to Hamas while living in the U.K., according to Israeli Defense Forces Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Moshe Yaalon. The two bombers were associated with Al-Muhajiroun, a British-based Islamic extremist organization that has a large following and has publicly raised funds for Hamas. Muhajiroun spiritual leader Sheik Omar Bakri Muhammad previously told WorldNetDaily he supports Hamas and has called on the British Muslim community to join the terror group. "We must support Hamas. ... We should maintain cooperation among nations so that we can all liberate ourselves together," Bakri told a group of British Muslims at a meeting attended by WorldNetDaily. But security sources say Hamas is currently reluctant to attack Britain. "A large portion of Hamas funding comes from charities in the U.K. Attacking Britain would lead to an immediate clamp down on a major part of their funding," one source said. WND reported Interpal, a major Islamic charity raising millions of dollars in Britain "to provide humanitarian aid to peoples of the Middle East" is a Hamas front that channels funds from British Muslims to support Hamas terrorism, according to the Center for Special Studies. Interpal was declared an illegal, terror-supporting organization in Israel because of its alleged links to Hamas and was outlawed in the United States in August 2003 after being designated by a U.S. executive order "an entity that commits, threatens to commit or supports terrorism." The charity currently operates unimpeded in the U.K.Funneling money
Documents - including bank transfer information - discovered and recently declassified from Israel's 2002 Operation Defensive Shield in the Palestinian territories show Interpal funneled millions of dollars to Hamas charities in the West Bank, and has on its board several senior Hamas members. "Several Muslim leaders also run private funds for Hamas," said an Israeli security official. "The U.K is considered very fertile soil for Hamas finances and they don't want to destroy that. Also, Hamas would come under massive international pressure if it attacked outside Israel." Still, the official warned, "Hamas has created for itself quite a global network, with well-placed cells in Britain. A shift if Hamas priorities could result in attacks outside Israel, including in the U.K."

PA Refused to Stop Suicide Bombers; Two Were Freed by IsraelFriday, June 3, 2005
The PA helped a suicide bomb gang by refusing to arrest them and asking Israel to pardon them. Israel released from jail or custody two of the Arab terrorists who almost succeeded to attack.
As previously reported, Israeli defense forces arrested five Islamic Jihad terrorists hours before they planned to stage a double suicide bombing attack in the suburban Jerusalem neighborhood Ramot on Thursday. Their targets were a coffee house or synagogue and a city bus.
Israel prevented the suicide bombing only days after Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Abu Mazen (Mahmoud Abbas) told ABC television that the days of suicide bombing are over. "We stopped the culture of violence," he told the interviewer, who asked him if suicide bombings are a tactic of the past. "I believe it is over," Abu Mazen responded.
But the Palestinian Authority (PA) actually aided and abetted the gang, according to information released by the Israeli Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center. It quoted a Ynet news report that General Security Services (Shin Bet) informed the PA of the planned suicide bombing, named the terrorists, and repeatedly asked the PA to arrest them. The response not only was negative but PA security officials also asked Israel to remove the terrorists from the wanted list.
Before being arrested on Monday, Islamic Jihad terrorist Ayad Fuajara failed twice to transport the two suicide bombers through IDF roadblocks to their target. He turned around and took the would-be murderers back to their Tulkarm homes.
Had Israel complied to the request of Abu Mazen's security personnel and removed the terrorists from the wanted list, they would have passed with greater ease through the Israeli roadblocks to perpetrate their planned mass-casualty bombings.
At a Monday meeting with his terrorist accomplices, Fuajara received instructions for a third attempt to transport the terrorists to Ramot. The plan was for him to buy a new car in Bethlehem to transport the cell. After he left the meeting with the necessary cash to make the purchase, he was nabbed by the Shin Bet, questioned, confessed, and revealed the entire plot. The other Arabs involved were apprehended on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Muhanad Aby Romy was identified as one of the suicide bomb gang and was arrested again. He had been released from prison by the Sharon government earlier this year after being jailed for buying weapons for Islamic Jihad terrorists. Also arrested was Hamza Hassim Brigia, who was responsible for the terror gang's infrastructure in Bethlehem. He was released from administrative detention in February.
The IDF recently discovered three other suicide belts that terrorists tried to pass through roadblocks.
The Islamic Jihad also was behind the suicide bombing of a Tel Aviv night club this year, in which five Israelis were murdered. Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz complained this week that the PA has refused to arrest the terrorists involved in the attack, even after IDF forces arrested several of them. They were caught in the area of Tulkarm, one of the two cities which Israel has surrendered to the PA on the understanding it will provide security for neighboring Jewish communities.
In the face of opposition from Shin Bet officials, the Sharon government released 400 terrorists and prisoners on Thursday. Prime Minister Sharon and Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz said they wanted to build support from the Arab public for PA chairman Abu Mazen.
